I had his Topps football card back in the day. RIP Hawkeye.

I met Bob Lilly at a car show several years ago, he noticed my Hawkeye shirt and started talking about John Niland, and mentioned that he (Bob) loved Iowa fans. RIP John

Niland blocked for Eddie podolak in his many epic performances like the 68-34 win over NW.
That was a good offensive team with Larry lawrence,Eddie and noonan.

Off a little, Noonan and Niland finished in the mid 60's. Podolak and Lawrence's big year was 1968 when Eddie was a running back.
