This performance from Heck so far does not help the court of public opinion for Brown. If Hawk fans see QB play in person, they'll most definitely jump to the Heck camp if they haven't already.
I'm in the camp of whoever plays better. Period.

Update on kickers from Chad. Both inconsistent. So far, Buhr has been more accurate, going 4-for-5. Ozick is 3-for-6, but one of his misses was from 57 yards.
Yeah well Leistikow is biased and what does he even know anyways!!!
at least the 57 yarder wasn’t blocked and run back for a TD…so there’s still a chance we are improved

There is zero debate after watching that performance. DJ had some nice catches from Heck. Heck is decisive, and puts the ball where the receiver can make a play like RVJ.
In a 2-minute drill, Hecklinski ran the No. 1 offense down the field, marching 65 yards in just 75 seconds. He might have just thrown his most gorgeous ball of the day, a 23-yard strike to Evan James for a touchdown over the coverage of Marcelo Vitti.
Hecklinski is now 17-for-25 for 205 yards and 5 TDs and those numbers aren't a fluke. He's looked sharp and in control.
Brown is 9-for-21 for 42 yards without a TD.

Hearing good things about LJ Phillips performance today, haven't seen any clips. Really excited to watch him run this season.
He is the definition of a bowling ball, nice lateral movement, but insane on YAC
My question is which players on defense got beat for the TDs
I'm disappointed that our OC can't tell who the better QB is.
Darion Jones must be making a solid impression, he was playing quite a bit at CB today
Buffington was one of them on the second DJ TD.
little worried about the FG unit, not sure how the DL looks, which could impact how good the offense looked, but it is very easy to be optimistic about this offense after that performance, holy **** are we deep at RB and TE. I am still legit worried they decide to go with Brown for some reason.
Hecklinski looks head and shoulders better here.
One long TD pass to DJ V was defended by Khamari Brown. His coverage was actually good. The pass was dropped in perfectly.
Lots of new players, so didn't catch all who was beat.
forgetting the 57 yarder that's still a little pointing. Ozick missed 2 all of last season
My observations:
QB: Heck was clearly better today. He had really nice touch on the deep and medium balls. I thought Hank was a bit faster to make decisions. Hank had 1 touchdown pass defended. If it is 6-12" more in front of the receiver, it is probably a touchdown. He also had 2-3 deep balls 2-3 yards in front of the receivers. I don't recall these being pressure throws.
The running backs looked sharp, both Moulten and Phillips. Phillips trucked a DT on one run.
For WR, RVZ, James, and Diaz made plays. They seemed pretty fluid. Others made plays also, but those were my top 3.
Oline/ TE was good, as expected.
DBs made a lot of plays, but had some blown coverages. I didn't catch the numbers, so these may have been guys not on the 2 deep.
I found myself paying closer attention to the O than D, so not a lot of observations on LB and DL. Offense was better than defense IMO.

What happened today is likely not happening every practice.
What else would anyone need to see to decide QB1? I really hope it's not the Rudock vs CJB outcome
