The newer players put the spotlight on the WNBA and it has exposed a lot of stuff, to put it politely. It does look like a subsidized entitled outfit. A real for profit venture would have to be much different.

With fresh eyes comes more scrutiny, and rightly so, for donating their time and hard earned money to view the action.

Maybe some reporter will actually do their job and ask the commish WHY they didn't follow league rules and suspend her. Well, probably not....
It sure would be nice if they did. The League unfortunately has their mind on other things right now besides Carrington's behavior, such as determining what is a woman in the grand scheme of eligibility for WNBA participation.

What a weird post I can only assume you're off your meds.

I just asked ALEXA if the WNBA has ever been profitable. I absolutely loved the response it gave me.

For context, you hear about coaches losing the locker room from time to time. But, what you don't often hear is a Commissioner of a professional sports league losing their league. Don't look for anything good of any significance to happen this year, because she won't be back next year. She has to wrestle with this for a long time to come. Missed opportunity.

For her using her phone? There is no automatic suspension for doing so. Like the NBA, the WNBA "prohibits" players/staff from being on their phone during certain times leading up to and after games, but I can't remember either league ever suspending someone for doing so, and a LOT of them do it.

Now I DO think they missed greatly in not suspending DC for the foul on Sophie...not for that one play, as that is going to happen at times, but for her history of such plays. If CC can get suspended a game for an 8th tech where no one has been physically threatened (one soft ref not-withstanding), there should also be a suspension schedule (both single season and career) for flagrant 2s where players' safety has truly been compromised.

She played college sports...a LONG time ago, but I don't recall reading that she had been involved in athletics in any meaningful way since then so is completely out of touch with today's athletes, issues, etc.

Wait. Weren't you the same guy that disagreed when I said Thomas should have been suspended for multiple games with her knee to the groin and fist to the throat, given her LONG and obvious history of hard and totally unnecessary rough fouls? Maybe such an action would have sent a message to some of these other thugs like DJ that this crap won't be tolerated. After all "player safety" is a big issue in the W. Lolol...

Fever signed 6'6" post Mercedes Russell to take Dontas's spot on the roster. Played a key role in the Storms championships, on their roster for 6 years. May take some time to get up to speed with the pace that Indiana plays with, but hopefully some good back up post minutes.

So anywho, the Fever signed 6' 6" Mercedes Russell as a replacement for Dantas. I have long wanted them to sign another super tall player if not just for rebounding and defensive presence. Although her minutes will probably be very minimal, at least they have a big body they can throw in there when they need one.

Has anybody stuck up for Sophie in this stupid situation she's in? I see different players agreeing with Carrington but haven't seen even a Fever player stand up for her.
Nothing seems to bother Sophie, period. She obviously could give a rusty "f" if people either boo or applaud her. This trait really seems to endear her to the masses.

Like most other people, I never watched the WNBA before CC. I knew the W was the MSNBC of sports leagues, so I would have to ignore a ton of toxic, activist garbage if I wanted to continue to enjoy watching CC play ball. I've mostly been able to do that so far, but the W sure makes it difficult.

She [Caitlin Clark] gets technicals that no one else in the league would get.

She [Caitlin Clark] also gets away with things no one else in the league would get away with.

Like what? Are you being serious

Go easy there on the "Sultan of Spin" lol.

Things as in plural? Go ahead and list them for those of us not as gifted and smart as you.

Like WHAT exactly? This should be entertaining......

Whose the bigger clown? Legend or BigZ? They really believe she's treated fair.

We all are still waiting for Legend's list of things that Caitlin gets away with that no one else in the league would get away with.

Do you guys think he even has 2 things on his list yet?
