For clarification, starting around 9:30, Cael uses the words "hopefully" and "potentially" when asked if Ono will be wrestling 2 years.

I don't know what the plan is for him this year, but he looks ready to dominate at 133 or 141. I can't think of anyone in D1 as quick--the time between when Ono decides on a move and when he's behind you is practically non-existent. His second move is also lightning fast--zero hesitation. That will translate to folkstyle pretty well.
I've heard rumors about him having trouble on bottom, which makes a bit of sense since he never had to try growing up. But if that rumored weakness, if he's not yet solved it, ever comes into play, I can't imagine him struggling against too many guys in either weight class. In most cases he's going to be up headed into the second and either won't need to take bottom or it won't make sense for his opponent to take top. Can't wait to see him out there this season.

Blaze actually said he's one of the better guys in the room on bottom. Terrible on top though.
If you can only be good at two out of three (top, bottom, and on your feet) in college wrestling, he has the most important two.
It's similar to Gabe at 184/197. His frame makes him almost impossible to get a good grab onto. Then add his twitchiness?
Ono is the most anticipated debut since Metcalf.
Kyle Snyder won 3 national titles by being world class on feet, adequate on bottom, and don't bother on top.
Imagine Snyder in the 3 point takedown era also. He would have teched Nevills a few times I think.
But not in the dual, since Nevills got 2 takedowns.
Everyone rightfully remembers the Nevills match to give Penn State the win, but Penn State loses that dual if Bo doesn't get that last second turn against Martin to get the major decision. If Bo had only won by decision, then Snyder would have only needed a win by decision to win the dual since Ohio State held criteria if the dual had ended in a tie. That was so clutch by Bo. He used the bow and arrow on Martin and got the second near fall swipe with less than a second to go in the match. But, had Martin wrestled hard through the end of the match, Bo most likely doesn't get that turn.
Love also that Bo said that when he was in that situation, he asked himself “what would Zain do?” Anyone remember the source of that story?
Let's put that in perspective. Terrible on top against guys who are great on bottom. Yes, that is who you are most likely to meet in a final, but if a guy is great on bottom he is great on bottom.

Just my opinion, Bo was a force of nature and no matter what Martin did in that match, that night Bo was going to get that point.
