I been watching replays of that foul and Sophie could have been seriously injured on that play. It was absolutely nasty and that ***** Carrington knew exactly what she was doing and appeared to trying to do some damage. The league really needs to take a long, hard look at that play and should suspend her for several games. This is her MO. She gouging cc in the eyes a couple years ago. ON PURPOSE. For those that didn't think that was on purpose are idiots. I'm positive no suspensions will be coming. They are scared shitless of backlash from a certain demographic

Imagine in year 1 Clark had AB and KM and then they got rid of them in year 2 and her best teammate was Lexie Hull and people get mad when she say something like “if we want to win we need better shooters”
I was fine with them being rid of Spoon, Carter, and Mabrey lol. AR has plenty of years left to find her niche outside of being a great rebounder; just needs to keep working on finishing at the rim.

That got dicey again, but it's a big win. I can't imagine that ridiculous technical on CC will stand.

The standings are rather funky this season. There is a huge gap below the 8th place Liberty, but there is only a one game difference between 4th place Indiana and the Liberty. A couple iffy losses could put any of these teams in 8th place and have them facing the Lynx in the first round of the playoffs. The Fever have a tough schedule, so they really need to win these games at Chicago and Toronto.
And considering how tight things are, AND how tight that game was for much of the 4Q, consider this also. The ref makes a totally BS tech on Clark. Then White FINALLY does something and she gets a T. The Sky shoot all the free throws AND get the ball back. If you watched the original play, Clark should probably have been shooting free throws for being pushed out of bounds. Of course that's not the way all this went. So suppose Chicago wins a one to three point game today. The league goes back, and takes the T on Clark back, (as they should). BUT Chicago still walks away with a win, because regardless of the officials screwing the pooch, (as normal), the loss for the Fever would not be overturned. These officials can most certainly change the outcome of games.

And the ref should be suspended for calling such a ridiculous technical.
There doesn't seem to be any penalty for what appears to be the obvious difference in how fouls on Clark are "not called" and the ones on her that are. That replay early showed she didn't contact a player in any way, "foul" She gets pushed out of bounds an into the ref, "T on Clark"

You could tell what she was up to right after she scored over Clark early. She looked at Clark with eyes bulging. She had that PS eye bulge when he spots the rim.

As I mentioned earlier the narrative from the WNBA and its complicit media about the "new" fans creating all of the conflict is not only false, it's basically backwards, and as we saw tonight we actually have WNBA players like Carrington spewing anti-White garbage online.

Embarrassing posts should be no surprise I guess coming from someone who took to Threads to share publicly that her lover, N. Smith, cheated on her with not one, but two other WNBA players, lol. Can't make this stuff up ...

But here's another ridiculous post from the race obsessed Carrington calling foul on "White people always trying to scare Black people with calling the cops."

Dude was ARAB and apparently just didn't want to deal with her and her crew's drunk a$$es anymore.

She is embarrassing the league and all her sistas, frankly.

White defended Carrington in the Post-Game: Keep in mind that Carrington played for White, and that there was no play on the ball when the foul occurred.

"Yeah, I mean, look, it was a hard foul," White said. "I don't think that DiJonai intentionally came out to get her across the neck like she did, but it did happen and I thought it was the right call. But one of the things about (Carrington) is that she's going to play her butt off, man. She's going to compete. Nobody's going to go walking in for a layup. And so I don't oppose the hard foul, but I also don't think that she intentionally went for the neck."

IOW, Nothing to see here, move along.

IMHO, White either doesn't understand the rule or she is being deceitful, since she is contradicting herself by saying that she doesn't believe the foul was intentional, but was simply a good hard foul by a tenacious player. She also stated that the officials made the right call. That is the contradiction.

The WNBA rulebook outlines a flagrant foul 2 as follows:

"Rule 12B, Section IV-b.: If contact committed against a player, with or without the ball, is interpreted to be unnecessary and excessive, a flagrant foul-penalty 2 will be assessed. A personal foul is charged to the offender and a team foul is charged to the team."

A flagrant 2 results in an immediate disqualification. Video set for White's comment on the Flagrant 2 call.

Whether it was Clark or not, that was a ridiculously bad call in a crucial part of a game…messing up like that deserves some kind of punishment.

Arrington did the same thing to Skylar Diggins in the past….you don’t just “accidentally” do the same thing twice.

True, but its really hard to believe that call would have been made if it wasn't Clark. Contact way worse than that happens all the time with refs and you don't see that called ever, unless its clear they purposefully made contact. The ref took a second , looked at Clark and called the T when she was 5 ft away from her. I'd add that Clark bears some of the blame for her antics getting on the bad side of the refs. Unfortunately every one of them knows if they T her up she gets suspended so theres an extra incentive for any ref who's she's rubbed the wrong way and wants to be vindictive.

Oh, I agree it was called because it was Clark, but that official just gave a video clip for the world to confirm all they’ve been hearing about how bad the officiating is- she took all the other officials down with her- that deserves a suspension at the minimum, but she should probably be fired.

Seems like cc has been making a few more careless passes lately but still no one comes remotely close to her passing ability. Her passing is honestly amazing and lots of times better that her shooting. She see things way before anyone else in her passing and no one touches her in that skill

Even in her basically two years worth of games, I think that's still part of the problem. While she's generally really on the same page with AB, and Mitchell, many of the other players just don't see the game like she does. Often she's seeing things open several steps ahead, and they don't move to that space. Then theres the hands issue from Timpson, (who is certainly improving with her minutes going up), and Hines Allen who is a bull in a china shop with no real feel for the game, and poor hands.

That fact that she sees things before others also leads to some of her turnovers…she’s playing chess and the others are playing Candy Crush, so there’s going to be some miscommunication.

At least 3 of her 6 TOs yesterday were the result of her throwing a dime to a teammate who just didn't catch it.

After the AT incident, and all of the past attacks on Clark, the league is blind once again to this latest assault.

Just wait until all the "Clark white privilege" crap starts tomorrow if it is.....
Then you have this as well.

agreed, they are annoying and useless for all - wnba management are all imbecilic IMO
Terrible "addition" to sports coverage. It has become part of the game, not a good thing. The inane post-game press conferences are bad enough
