All that Canes cash and Gordon cash and private equity cash has LSU picked 5th this year. It's a transitional year and Lane knows how to win so it might take a couple of years before he pays off but lots of big donors of SEC powers are gonna have to accept being in 5th place every so often.

I don't do any white meat chicken, period, so that's not a good example. I will do business w/ MSU folks online in a heartbeat, or in person if it's convenient. Otherwise I'm not spending more just to drive out of my way to then pat myself on the back and give myself an 'attaboy award' for an NIL of any kind.

I did read recently where to this day, 20 percent of the profits of Gatorade still go to the University of Florida and the families of the three guys who invented it. $500 million annually.

Cane's priced me out of their market a long time ago. Fire away, I can be frugal one day and piss money away the next but these "fast" food restaurants have gotten ridiculous.
Woody's in the early 90s was a late night go to. Chicken strips, tater logs and sweet n sour sauce.
The old Chevron on 25 north of Carthage had the best tenders and tater logs. Had the Avents Dairy trailer beside it. I once worked at Avents in Oxford.

Canes has the most tender chicken of all of the chains….if they would spill even a GRAIN of salt on them they would be at the top….but they don’t.
Guthries is crazy good.
Slims is very good….the grilled ones are better.

There's a brand new Shell station recently opened just out front of where the Chevron was. I haven't been in there yet but at least there's a new place to take a leak between Louisville and The Reservoir. Come to think of it here's also a brand new store between Coal Bluff store and Holly Bush Rd before that boat place. Lots of places to stop now instead of just Renfroe which was hit and miss at best
I don't follow who does what for NIL so I would not know where NOT to go. Don't think if I knew, it would effect my decisions.
Now unfortunately I can't say the same for movies and music. If an actor or musician comes on TV and asked me to go see their movie or buy their music and then tells me how stupid they think I am that now effects me. If I just suspect they think I'm stupid I can ignore that. They have to really beat a drum continuously like Pedro Pascal or Mark Ruffalo or Springsteen.

Back when I cared about such things, I never cared too much about Ole Miss because at least it was MS. And truth be known neither of us are going away so it might be best to kinda work together on things. I've long since said we as a university should not focus on them as far as what we do, but there is some value in the branding of the rivalry.
We will never do that, though. We don't have the capacity to see the value.

I haven’t found any grocery store frozen chicken fingers close to Canes. I keep some for convenience but that’s the only reason.
The strong opinions here on chicken strip joints is silly to me. Must of them are fine. The only truly bad ones I’ve ever gotten were the overcooked overbreaded abominations you find in some convenience stores.
I really like Cane’s and honestly can’t understand how anybody could find it unpalatable, but live and let live.
I do eat chicken fingers for convenience sake but I’m team dark meat too.

Pretty much anyone that has children, anyone who is hungover, anyone who is disgusted by almost all fast food hamburger options, plus a few others.
My wife was as adamant about wanting dry white breast meat as I am about wanting thighs, until, she started eating thighs. She will still do tenders some but at home she's much more into thighs now.
I do like grilling tenders because you can cook them faster and the meat doesn’t dry out but I don’t like whole chicken breasts. Just give me a thigh, bone in or boneless doesn’t matter.
Forgot about the old Cotton District Grill chicken tenders. My poor *** was splurging when I'd go there and that homemade honey mustard was fantastic.
Its not 20% of profits. UF gets 20% of the trademark royalties paid to the inventors. The royalties are estimated to be about 2-3% of sales, so UF gets about 0.5% of sales. Its still around $20 MM annually.
But by state law, that money goes to UF research, and cannot be used for athletics or NIL.
