Doesn't bother me at all. There are more non-conservative channels that don't pump fake news for viewers to tune into. Fox is pretty much the only channel for maga chuds, so of course their audience is bigger.

Yeah, I am aware of the satirical theme throughout along with a couple internal paradoxes in some verses. Since the line before the one I quoted was about Walsh partying into the wee hours of the morning, I had always assumed the last stanza (which came after a long musical interlude I have always interpreted as intentional) was Walsh claiming that on the other hand he’s just behaving how he always has, which would be a stark contrast to the first half of the song in which he is blissfully unaware of how fame and fortune have created his aloofness to the chaos of his rock and roll lifestyle.
In other words, I interpreted the lyrics to represent duality—the first half of the song about how fame and fortune have changed him; the second half about how when all is said and done he is still the same person at his core and the people partying with him have actually changed.
In short, I tend to overthink sh*t
I don’t know if that’s part of my childhood diagnosed autism or not, but I have never invested much thought into that (lol). But, yeah, I do appreciate the correction. If I am wrong, I am wrong.

2. I am weird (which surprisingly makes me very effective at my job).
3. I live in a no-union state. I am not opposed to unions per se, but they need to be reformed and corruption weeded out.

Because I wasn’t intending to address party affiliation. I was trying to demonstrate viewership leans based upon which media type, liberal or conservative, people who do watch cable news would gravitate toward. And I believe (correct me if I am wrong) those who identify more left wing vs those who identify more right wing, regardless of party affiliation, are close to a 50/50 split in this country with the normal gap of true moderates/centrists swaying general elections one way or the other.
At any rate, I am fairly certain JHP’s attempted flex was in error, but, again, it’s possible I am the one actually in error.
