Hope he proves that 4 star rating .

>Garavaglia spent last season as a reserve for Ratiopham Ulm in the top division of German basketball. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in 33 appearances. He performed well at the Under-18 European Championships last summer averaging 14.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 42.1% from three-point range. He played 29 minutes in seven appearances.<

Seems like a good pick up - but I wonder why the article refers to him as a “big man”? Seems like he’s probably a 3 at 6-6 - right?

If this guy turns out to be any good Rutgers would be smart to build some sort of advertising campaign around him.

I read an article saying he's 6'7, the added inch still doesn't qualify him as a big man , unless he's a small power forward , being classified as a PF is considered a big man position no matter what the size of the player manning it is.
A google search found this :
>International & FIBA Play: He is frequently listed and utilized as a power forward (or "stretch four") due to his physical 6-foot-7 size, toughness, and rebounding abilities<

Watching him play, seems like a 3 to me. Plays defense so I love the pick up. This addition alone all but guarantees well be better at D 1-4. Not sure about the D at the 5 spot though. Hope we’re adding one more piece even if it’s a PF who could play stretches with Sydnor without a true center.

Don't see how this kid is not a starter by the fifth game of the season, especially if his defense is as advertised. What a stroke, and he's light years ahead of last year's Euros. I think we now win 18+ games. Welcome back RU.
