VOTE: Should a statue of IOWA's All Time Winningest Coach be outside or inside Carver?

Let us just wait 10 years, and your record will be replaced by BMC.
This is another great example of bad sports cliches and terminology that become part of the vernacular but aren't really accurate. "Winningest" is obviously the coach that wins most frequently which is most accurately represented in winning percentage. You really think a coach who is 95-85 is better than a guy who's 90-10 because he has more wins?
Another great one is "Defending National Champs". There's no such thing in seasonal sports. Every season is separate and independent from every other season. Everybody starts out 0-0. Boxing has a defending champ. Every time you step into the ring you're fighting to hold on to your belt.
End of rant. For now.
Maybe someone can carve one of those chainsaw sculptures of Fran out of a dead tree somewhere around campus. That feels about right.
And it will forever be known as the McCaffertree.
Why not an ice sculpture? That way in the spring it can melt down like Fran did on the bench.
I like this. But the sculpture should depict Fran standing on the shoulders of Luka Garza and the Murrays.

Because Connor is a dickhead. Iowa gave that goofy family millions and long- term security (by D-1 Head Coaches Standards) and they should be grateful for that. He was at Iowa about twice as long as he would have been kept on at any other Power 4 school.

The players seemed to like Fran and at one time I supported him, but he he was an embarrassment with his sideline antics. He was unwilling to embrace change, reluctant to embrace NIL and the portal. He didn't embrace the fan base or big donors with his East coast, I'm a big shot attitide. He played his boys more than players that were better. Unfortunately that bonehead Barta gave him a sweetheart long term contract with a big buyout. Barta was out of his league and should have been fired long before he was eased out the door. Sometimes the university is too Iowa Nice.
I vote NO to any statue because he had the most losses also.
