and have to say it was hard to watch regular season MLB. Rangers vs. Cleveland. Nice to see Foscue have a good night but almost empty stadium (I know it was a Monday night), guy doesn’t slide at home and gets tagged out and a few other things that were aggravating to watch.

Then flip over to Dodgers/A’s and the A’s cleanup guy is hitting .236, the 5-hole guy .221, and 6-hole is .201.

Hard to watch after the SEC/regionals/super regionals/World Series. I’ll tune back in September when it matters I suppose.

My Mets are totally unwatchable. They ridiculously overpaid a guy who loves to walk and doesn't knock in enough runs and forced out their all time HR and RBI guy who is currently 5th in RBIs for the Orioles. Glad they fired their manager, as if he was the problem.

we have the MLB Network and watch baseball every night. Mute it and turn some music on. The one thing though is that Braves games are blacked out, guess they have their own contract. Don't really care though, I'm probably the only one in Mississippi that is not a Braves fan. It does suck though if they are playing someone we care about.

As for teams... Pirates are a fun watch this year, even when Mangum isn't in the lineup. There's really not a bad team outside of the Mets in the NL Central and East. Dodgers own the West. Ben McDonald does color for Baltimore and makes their games fun no matter what is going on.

I do have MLB network and pretty much tune in to watch specific players. Misiorowski, Skenes, Ohtani, Aranda & Caminero to name a few. I even paid for the Braves network. They've cooled a bit but are really good again.

Im a dodger fan ( bet I get a lot of rave reviews) watch their games on MLB enjoy watching them especially guys like Freeman who’s just an old school player. Great consistent hitter, fielder and doesn’t sit unless the manager makes him. Plays hurt and never complains, just fun to watch. Most BB players are pussies, they get a hang nail end up on the IR for 60 days. Miss old time BB.

After going to three Giants games earlier this month, I'm a huge Jung Hoo Lee fan now.

Dodgers fan since Fernandomania. (y) Not a Braves fan, but have always been a big fan of Freeman.

As for MLBTV, the blackout rules still suck. The closest team to me is a 5 hour drive, but I'm "in market" for 4 different teams.

I'm probably in the minority but I believe baseball is the sport you have to watch live to appreciate or at least enjoy. I'm going in a couple of weeks to watch the Dodgers/Yankees and Pirates/Yankees at Yankee stadium. Can't wait.

I’ll also add that scoring games has been a hobby since I was in high school (I’ve actually made my own books before), so I’ll watch random games and score a few innings or just think about how I’d mark things. It makes watching a little more interesting.

Occasionally you get a unicorn like the 8-6-2 gidp on a ball that never hit the ground in the NLCS last year. Or this by rule sac fly…https://www.mlb.com/gameday/824124/play/28

Weirdly enough I enjoy baseball on TV and football in person. I’m obviously the outlier there, as most metrics point to it the other way around.

I’ve seen people say football was made to be on TV with the squared field and all, but I disagree. In baseball you get 80% of the action with the pitcher hitter and catcher.

I appreciate how good the pitching is these days, but I think it's going to ruin the product long term. It's almost like watching a little league game. In 2026 games averaging a combined 26 walks and strikeouts per game.

For sure averages are down almost everywhere these days. Hell, if you have two guys in a lineup that hit .300, you are doing something. And to your point, the Jacob Miz's of the world are only going to continue to bubble up. Maybe not to his degree, but when kids are pushing triple digits by the time they're 20 years old it's a matter of time before there's a lot more of them which will ultimately equal less and less hits on a nightly basis probably

If you pay for the MLB app, I’m a fan of the Big Inning jump around feed . It is on most nights, and is sometimes also on MLB network.

With eight relievers on most every roster now, pitching analytics lead to preferred matchups each game. With only four position player subs, one of which is a catcher, there's less ability to match it with your line up. The hitting analytics end up prioritizing batting .240 with 30+ home runs vs .315 and 10 home runs because you just can't match pitching staff strategy with line up strategy as effectively.

But Pittsburgh had Griffin lay down a sweet bunt a few nights ago in the middle of a comeback in Philly. So, there's still some classic baseball being played.

Wow, that would have been quite the observation............in 2010.

Last team to win a World Series with any type of older approach was KC in 2015.
Wow, you staying the obvious really is something new. It truly is.
