Thanks for the helpful explanation, Tom. I didn't see much in the way of arguing from the US team, so I figured #22 must have been in a legal position at the time of the goal.
And to add to Tom's posts...the US defender touching the ball had no bearing on this play. If an offensive player plays a ball that hits off a defender, everything still is based on the moment the offensive player hit the ball. However, that changes if a defensive player intentionally plays the ball...if he does, then there can't be an offside call.

Is there a reason why he wears a shirt that buttons and he buttons just the middle button it looks like? Is it a Steve Jobs thing and he is too busy and too intelligent to be bothered by these mundane tasks of buttoning a shirt? Or just don't button it at all?

This will be a tough game. B-H is big and physical. Like their first three games, U.S. needs to come out aggressive to get an early goal. As evidenced by the first four knockout games, everyone is playing at a higher level, no gimme now. U.S. defenders need to avoid critical mistakes.
You do not want this game to go into a 30 minute overtime (two separate 15 minute periods). They are exhausting in the heat. If still tied, then PKs to decide the winner after 30 minutes of overtime.

Looking for Balogun to score again tonight.

The key will once again be fluidity in rotations with guys moving between their lines and through the channels.

I think The Aussies prepared us for tonight's opponent. As long as we don't make any defensive blunders and we make them work during every possession, we should be fine. We're better than BH. We just need to prove it tonight.
