The $300B is part of an MOU, so (of course) by definition it is not a contract, not binding, etc.
I think we all know this will be some hand wave BS where we suspend sanctions, promise things that won't come true, or however this admin feels like things are opaque enough to appease maga AND Iran. All about saving face.
That said, Iran apparently wanted this in the MOU so bad our negotiators had to include it while knowing how bad the optics would be. The MOU language is pretty clear. The US owns "at least" $300B package for Iran. We can argue all day about whether the MOU will become an actual agreement framework.
As it stands, trump is screwed, Iran knows it, and they likely don't GAF about how they get their money as long as they get that commitment.

personally, I think we all could agree that this "excursion" has not gone exactly the way we might have figured after the killing of the Iranian leadership...there has been no uprising by the people to retake their government...Iran had not capitulated or surrendered unconditionally,...the strait has been a major point of economic damage for the world....and the 4-6 weeks has taken longer and issues are still not resolved...we might be closer to resolution but Iran has yet, apparently, not agreed to give up their nuclear ambitions.
