I guess anything is possible at this point. I am for certain that some random judge will injunct whatever the NCAA does.Maybe we get one of these guys?
Oweh?
God god, have you not heard he’s in the draft tonightMaybe we get one of these guys?
Oweh?
I could see some people getting drafted then coming back to college if this court stuff goes through. Some of these guys can make way more in college. But a guy like Oweh I figure would stay in the NBA if they gave him a chance. Kind of like take it while it's there because he might not get drafted next year.God god, have you not heard he’s in the draft tonight
I swear, the NCAA is run by morons.
I for one think Oweh would be a terrible fit for this team, don’t think he would be willing to take a secondary roleI could see some people getting drafted then coming back to college if this court stuff goes through. The NCAA is who decided to allow NIL.It was fine until the courts allowed NIL and transfers.
Cut throat coaches will kick some 3rd string transfer off the roster to make room for the 5th year senior who suddenly got eligible thanks to a lawsuit.Rosters are pretty much set for everyone. I’m not sure how that many players could find a spot.
*****, the courts in CA made them do NIL in that state (other states were going forward with it too). The NCAA had to respond with something. Making them employees won't do dick. The NCAA is who decided to allow NIL.
They were dumb enough not to realize that by allowing NIL, they opened themselves up to all sorts of antitrust lawsuits.
They could stop the lawsuits tomorrow by declaring the players employees and allowing them to collectively bargain to set a salary cap, eligibility rules, transfer rules, etc... But again, the NCAA is run by idiots. And preserving the myth of the student athlete is more important to them than actually getting their sports under control.
So the lawsuits will continue. And every rules change they make will be challenged.
Who would he be secondary to? Not saying I want him back because I don't even think there's a chance but I'm not sure who he would play behind. Definitely a starter.I for one think Oweh would be a terrible fit for this team, don’t think he would be willing to take a secondary role
Because college sports are for college aged athletesOk this is stupid why should someone who didn’t start school until they were 24 automatically not be allowed to play sports?
Also why does a religious mission give you more eligibility credit than a traumatic injury?
I’m really not sure what that means people over 25 go to college and a lot of people take 1-2 years off after high school, I guess probably not elite athletes though so I guess I see where it’s coming from. But the odd 24+ baller shouldn’t be barred from playing.Because college sports are for college aged athletes
Yes they should, you missed the boat.I’m really not sure what that means people over 25 go to college and a lot of people take 1-2 years off after high school, I guess probably not elite athletes though so I guess I see where it’s coming from. But the odd 24+ baller shouldn’t be barred from playing.
Ok big man probably fat *** on the couch talking “ they missed the boat, why does a 24 year old playing college sports make you feel so righteous indignationYes they should, you missed the boat.
I have to agree4 years of eligibility shouldn't matter what age, hell if you can get it done at 25+, and haven't played in the NBA, what difference should it make.
About 40% are 20-24 and about 40% are 25+ now.Because college sports are for college aged athletes
I think I agree with what you’re saying. If you’re good enough to make a team after missing extended time due to etc. then let old rules stay no need to arbitrarily set age limitations.About 40% are 20-24 and about 40% are 25+ now.
18-24 is a majority but not a crazily overwhelming one. Lots of more seasoned folks are in college so they are "college age".
I don't see how this limitation helps students of any age nor do I think it is any real benefit to.the program, it seems more like an excuse for the NCAA to not process paperwork/hide from suits based on their decisions and a little pointless salve to those feeling put out about the "inmates running the asylum".
I don't care if someone wants to seve in the military, has injuries to fight through, has a family situation, wants a break, does an internship, goes to the Peace Corp, goes on a mission, back packs Europe, or plain old needs to get their stuff together.
Four or five in whenever it takes is not a cell of skin off my nose.
Small bore issue anyway, five minutes ago it was pulling hen's teeth to get them to stay now probably the same folks are bothered they won't leave.
He exploded onto the scene in year one due to spacing, which we will have again this year. He did well last season and we know how chaotic that team was.I for one think Oweh would be a terrible fit for this team, don’t think he would be willing to take a secondary role
It would work, but you absolutely need Kam and Milan on the court at the same time. Maybe Wilkins is your 6th man in that scenario, and if he breaks through, then Diallo becomes your 6th man with Oweh at the 2, Williams and Milan at the forward spots.Who would he be secondary to? Not saying I want him back because I don't even think there's a chance but I'm not sure who he would play behind. Definitely a starter.
