Awesome moment walking up to the 18th hole for Miles Russell and well done by the PGA for allowing it. He was able to have his father finish as his caddie. Great moment for father and son.

I’m pulling for Tommy Fleetwood to some how pull off the win…I probably jinxed any chance he might of had.
And TF just missed a makeable attempt at birdie. I shouldn‘t have said anything. 
Wyndam about to have a Norman-esque collapse. Isn't he the guy that tore up The Masters locker room in a rage? This would be a popular collapse among the Tour.

Whyndam didn’t make it easy, but he hit that clutch putt on 16 to clinch it. Too bad Burns lipped out on 18 or else he would have really felt the heat after that miss by Clark on 17. Second major is huge for guys. 2 time US Open champ now. He should contend at Augusta if he makes putts. He hits it’s so long he’s made for that course.
Why didn’t you post that before the tournament when the thread asked to make your picks? Anyone that posts what they had after it’s over should always be taken with a grain of salt “to be honest”.
Spieth hit the ball fairly well but he needs a new putter and a new coach, especially a putter coach.

You got me to thinking about it, so I checked as I rarely bet golf. Over the last 12 years since I moved to Nevada (I do not bet online) I have bet $1,030 on golf (before this tourney) and was down $316. I really do not care if you believe me or not.
Same with Scottie. That claw grip just hasn’t been working for him this year. I’ve experimented with different grips since I bought my new putter and that claw grip is the hardest one to hit straight for me.
It’s was Oakmont’s locker after his missed the U.S. Open cut there. He also paid for the damages and made a donation to their charity to make up for it. I don’t think most pros have the intestinal fortitude to challenge Augusta on much. Sergio got in trouble for hitting a tee marker, that’s about the most anger I’ve seen there and he probably wouldn’t have tried that had he still been on Tour.
Speith hasn’t had a consistent game in years now. No idea what happened to him. He has been wild off the tee. That usually does him in and as you said, he doesn’t make a ton of putts like he used to when he won a lot.
Yeah I wouldn’t reckoned the claw grip at all. Tiger has the best putting grip ever. I don’t know why more people don’t just go with a standard interlocking grip. It’s the same on every club. He proved how good it can be. Same with Jack, I don’t think he interlocked, but small forward shaft lean and same style putter. He never changed it for decades. Two best putters ever. Steve sticker, another amazing putter same thing, Crenshaw, Corey Pavin. They guys who constantly change putters and grips never are consistent for long periods. No clue why Scheffler changed, he was dominating.
Some people like me have the yips and you have to use the claw grip otherwise you’re going to spray them right every once in a while.
The yips are all mental. Figure that out and you will be able to use your standard grip. I bet you always think you will pull or push a 5 footer no matter what the line is before you even approach the shot. It’s like shanking the ball. Fix the fear of it and it will stop happening if you have a decent swing that is. I bet you would benefit from a zero torque putter more than anything. Try that too. If you use a toe hang putter you won’t manipulate the face as much on your stroke.
He was a hot head. If he hadn’t moved away from being that way I don’t think he wins yesterday.
He hit a lot of bad shots where he ended up with “ok” lies the last couple of days. On a course designed to absolutely punish you if you’re offline, he got some pretty good breaks. Heck, a couple times he hit such bad shots, he had better lies than if he’d hit the ball a little bit better.
Gotta give him credit though. He took advantage of those breaks.
Respectfully disagree on the Yips = Shanks. I’m talking the real shanks. lol. Tin Cup on the driving range would be shanks = mental. Real shanks are a major flaw in your swing that’s come to light.
That’s why I said if you have a decent swing it’s mental. Some guys can’t not shank it because they just don’t swing properly. If you have the yips, that’s all mental. My buddy in high school, for years playing at around a 2-3 handicap we could say “don’t shank it” and he would shank a wedge almost every time. That’s how mental it is.
Usually guys who win majors get good breaks. It’s the difference out there but take 16 yesterday. He hits one way left in the fescue. That was not a good lie and he somehow chopped it out over that bunker and made birdie. That was a world class shot out of that.
I’ll drop the shanks thing after this but your buddy didn’t have the shanks, he choked under pressure. The shanks aren’t a one swing thing. I only brought it up because if you’ve ever seen anyone with the actual shanks, it’s the damndest thing you’ll see.
Clarke didn't deserve the heckling he got yesterday. Yeah, huge mistake tearing up the locker at Oakmont, but he seems to be trying to make amends, put it behind him.
