Quit bragging about going to Iceland, unless you post more food pics.Same in Iceland. Only assigned bathrooms I saw were at the public pool, attached to locker rooms, which makes sense

When I landed in Amsterdam this spring, after I got through customs I had to take a deuce and in the MENS bathroom, there were the stalls you are referring to and a cleaning lady going into every stall after the guys were done blowing it up. What a job.Man, some of you people would lose your shid in Europe. I recently got back from Spain and there were several establishments that had unisex bathrooms but with private floor to ceiling stalls, though they shared the open washing area with sinks. Nobody seems to have a problem with it there, strangely enough.
I don't have much experience using the men's restroom so I'm probably wrong, but I do know you're not peeing in stalls. My only men's bathroom use goes back to my late teens early 20s in bars when the line to the women's room was too long and I couldn't wait! Those were single stall restrooms though. We normally are on the same side of things but in 52 years, I don't recall ever seeing another man's junk.
standard operating procedure is to stand at the urinal with the front of you pants pulled below the junk to allow peeing. Now if I recall from HROT, a point of controversy in the standard operating procedure is whether guys pull their wang through the slot/hole in front of the underwear, or pull underwear below the wang, along with the front of pants. I think the pee through the slot guys are weirdos.I don't have much experience using the men's restroom so I'm probably wrong, but I do know you're not peeing in stalls. Honestly, it really depends on the bathroom design. Some urinals are behind a wall, some have dividers, some have little stalls of their own, and some are wide open to the world.I don't have much experience using the men's restroom so I'm probably wrong, but I do know you're not peeing in stalls. I had the same thought but it seems to pick up the recording after the altercation began, so I am guessing he started recording after it became apparent the dude was not going to let it go.Does the dad usually record videos of taking his daughters to the restroom?
a lot of staged crap out their for views.
Couple of times in my many years I've stepped into the men's room to see an older fella standing at the urinal with his pants and drawers around his ankles. Pivot and exit.standard operating procedure is to stand at the urinal with the front of you pants pulled below the junk to allow peeing. Must be a generational thing. I wouldn’t even consider that (to turn on video when somebody gets upset).I had the same thought but it seems to pick up the recording after the altercation began, so I am guessing he started recording after it became apparent the dude was not going to let it go.
Yup. It is always old scraggly looking dudes.Couple of times in my many years I've stepped into the men's room to see an older fella standing at the urinal with his pants and drawers around his ankles. Pivot and exit.
Did you see these open air urinals when you were there? I snapped this photo because I'd never seen anything like it but I used them myself once or twice hahaWhen I landed in Amsterdam this spring, after I got through customs I had to take a deuce and in the MENS bathroom, there were the stalls you are referring to and a cleaning lady going into every stall after the guys were done blowing it up. But it was a bit of a ..oh theres a woman in here culture moment for my fragile male brain.

I think younger folks - not knowing your age - are quicker to pull phones in situations like that. They grew up in a different time. For a lot of them, it's normal to record interactions like that.Must be a generational thing. I wouldn’t even consider that (to turn on video when somebody gets upset).
Oh yah, they even have phonebook style permanent ones along the canals. Actually pretty cool if you don't mind the stench.Did you see these open air urinals when you were there? I snapped this photo because I'd never seen anything like it but I used them myself once or twice haha

I get doing it nowadays, especially when the cops are getting called - reduce the possibility of he said/he said BS. NTM, I am not sure if the dad is 100% Caucasian, and I have no problem with POC videoing confrontations with old white asshats.Must be a generational thing. I wouldn’t even consider that (to turn on video when somebody gets upset).
The PedMall needs some of these in Iowa City.Did you see these open air urinals when you were there? I snapped this photo because I'd never seen anything like it but I used them myself once or twice haha

Hell, I don't like going in the men's restroom. We're f'n pigs pissing on everything. Nothing worse than standing in a puddle of piss at the urinal. I wouldn't put a little girl on a toilet seat in a men's restroom under any circumstances.
This has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, I worked in the warehouse at a K's Merchandise in CR back in high school. Part of the job was cleaning the men's and women's restrooms every night that I closed. I can easily say without a doubt, that the women's restroom was always MUCH worse than the men's restroom. It never failed. I've heard similar from folks that have worked in the bar/restaurant biz too/csb
Watched it again - when did people become such ********?People get worked up about all sorts of shid. What I don't understand is thinking this is something worth involving the police in. No crime was being committed.
Since there was no one in the bathroom I don't see the problem. I imagine if a woman came in and saw him he would explain that his daughters are going to the bathroom and he will be out shortly.
Guy that called the police and assaulted him seems to be wound up pretty tight.
funny story about that. we were road tripping with my future FIL when we were engaged. Probably 21. My wife asked me isn't it weird when we stop at public rest areas. I said not really, we try not to stand by one another. She then asked isn't it weird though to see his *** since the underwear and pants are around our ankles when peeing. I had fun answering that one.Couple of times in my many years I've stepped into the men's room to see an older fella standing at the urinal with his pants and drawers around his ankles. Pivot and exit.
Probably the same time Social Media made it okay to be asholes.Watched it again - when did people become such ********?
THISProbably been looking for the "man in the woman's bathroom" scenario he has been programed to watch for. Sometimes you just work with the tools you have.
STOP CRYING IM HELPING YOU BY CALLING 911 ON YOUR DADTHISThere has been so much culture war rage-bait about men in women's restrooms that he can no longer distinguish that this was an innocent incident that he should probably ignore and go on about his day. For me, the worst part was his daughters crying because of the perceived threat they felt. It hurt to see that, not gonna lie.
Polite young man with two young daughters traveling from Florida to Oklahoma, stops at a QT to let his daughters use the bathroom and takes them into the empty women's room because he doesn't want to take them into men's room with open urinals. Crazed a.sshole confronts him and calls the cops. Was he wrong for taking his daughters into the women's room? FYI, the QT employee had his back.
Damn I love a good bread bowl.
is that mayonnaiseless tuna salad?
You sir, are an idiot.Oh, you want to be able to show your dick to little girls. That makes more sense.
Appears so.I had the same thought but it seems to pick up the recording after the altercation began, so I am guessing he started recording after it became apparent the dude was not going to let it go.
Appears so.
It also shows the dad is not such a good guy like some think. Instead of just getting in and out with the kids, he spent too much time at the sink when you factor in there was before video time and the time to pull out the phone and set it up to video.
He seems to have been looking for a confrontation, especially since he posted a follow up video.
As for the guy calling police, completely ridiculous. Wasting their time should be a chargeable offense.
The dad washed his hands and then helped each wash theirs. Maybe he had to wipe one of the girls butts and wanted to make sure his hands were fully clean before picking up one of the girls.Appears so.

Trouble doesn’t have to mean looking for a physical fight. In the restroom, he was all prepared to make a video with an idiot that would get lots of views. That dude was quiet, calm and barely had a personality and you think he was looking for trouble?
He made sure that phone set up and recording before he started washing efforts. Not a very sanitary practice with the phone. The dad washed his hands and then helped each wash theirs. Maybe he had to wipe one of the girls butts and wanted to make sure his hands were fully clean before picking up one of the girls.
Setting up a phone to record and then go out into the store while still recording and to walk to where the other guy was. See above about which aisle he chose. Not hurrying himself and his daughters doesn't mean he was seeking confrontation.
I know the video shows this guy being more concerned with his recording than he is paying attention to the safety of his daughters when walking through the “store” section.Unless you are all-knowing and know more about it than the rest of us. If so, please use your powers for good on the future.
Why are you trying so hard to vilify the dad?Trouble doesn’t have to mean looking for a physical fight. In the restroom, he was all prepared to make a video with an idiot that would get lots of views.
After leaving the restroom (at 1:36 of the video), he chose to not walk down the closer aisle that was open, but instead walk down the next aisle over where the other guy can clearly be seen facing away from him.

Counter here, as a dad of 2 young girls:Trouble doesn’t have to mean looking for a physical fight. In the restroom, he was all prepared to make a video with an idiot that would get lots of views.
