Their starter was very good but our guys made him throw a lot of pitches. Once you get to the bullpen everything changes. There aren’t many college teams with great bullpens.
Thing is, this is the squad you should NOT stress about.
Coming into this game all the talk was about the SEC having sluggers and hitting homers. One team hit two over the fence tonight and it wasn’t an SEC team.
I wish there was a way to inject the coaching skill and the heart this team has into our football program
Nicholson has had great ABs going back to the end of game 3 against USC. He's turned multiple 0-2 counts into walks and HBPs and ignited three key rallies. He and the rest of the bottom of the of the order were huge tonight.

Agree totally. I have started to feel about this team, like I did years ago when Dean was coaching basketball, and you always knew he would find a way to win.

I think one of the corniest things in college sports is the “sec! Sec! Sec!” Crowd. I will never join that group even if/when we join the SEC. It’s Heels or nobody for me.

Weird how you didn’t come back after we won. Again. Just the worst. Pollute the boards with negative nonsense then never come back when you’re wrong.
What a high level pitching performance by both starters. That was a fun game.

Happy for all the guys, but gosh, especially for Gavin and Jason. Leaders (who are also really likable kids) working through slumps and showing up in big moments - there’s just nothing more gratifying to witness.
This Never Say Die attitude will hopefully get in the heads of every other team we face…

Whew. What a game!!! The CWS is absolutely the best sporting event in the world. The Carolina section was crazy. High fiving Luke Maye after a win at the CWS was definitely not on my Bingo card, but it was awesome!

We need Lynch's A game on Sunday. WVU's likely starter, Maxx Yehl, had the 6th-best ERA this season.
USC's Mason Edwards had the 5th-best ERA, and we were able to get the bats going against him at Bosh last weekend.
Fingers crossed for another stellar outing from our starter, and hopefully our offense from those last three innings today carries over.
