Just my 2 cents but people are foolish if they don’t get a PSA test, yearly, and reckless if they steer others away from them. . Its not the end all be all but anybody thats smart will get one.
I don't discourage it, but just because something is slightly elevated shouldn't be a cause for concern. Avoid sex, get retested and profit.

This post was originally about Ryan Lemond and has turned into something completely different. Where are the adults in the room?

Thats why the “physical” exam is also recommended. Doesn’t lie.

Current Guidelines: Guidelines differ by organization. While some institutions include DREs (Whole hand Doc?) in routine checkups, organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention note that major task forces don't always recommend the DRE as a mandatory screening tool due to a lack of evidence proving its benefits compared to PSA tests and advanced imaging.

Doc Jones always gives me a DRE exam when I see him every year. It's a little bit off-putting and I've been meaning to ask him about it, but otherwise, he is an excellent dentist.
