Chandler never looked comfortable with the ball in his hand, Wilkens is a far better ball handler.
Yep. In fairness to Chandler though, I think he was thrust into a starring role a year before he was ready. Had some strong moments but still a learning curve last year

Not $3 million. Not sure what his worth is but I would have liked him back but hell no for that much. I wonder what he got at BYU.
Will he start and be a 25-minute guy fur BYU ??
it will be interesting to see how well he performs for them.

Momcilovic is a significant upgrade over CC, athough Chandler would have definitely helped. I don't think we get Wilkins if Chandler is back, and I will take Wilkins every single time. He can get his shot on anyone at the college level.

Chandler needs to be set up and have some space to get going. It was too easy to take Chandler away in too many games.

I also cant remember but maybe once him hitting a shot inside the 3 point line. 3 points or nothing outside of the few dunks that he had. No driving ability whatsoever! 1 million max!

Colin wasn’t consistent. Think nerves were a problem. Would go from 16 pts to 4. Couldn’t depend on 12/game.
Had no mid range pull up game or off the dribble offense.
Seemed like a good guy but marrying a girl from Utah sealed his transfer. You know she probably was lonely in Lex.

Chandler wouldn't start here this coming season. That should show how much better this team will be

No. None of these players are worth that kind of money. The argument that people go to see them specifically, therefore they provide all the value which leads to the beaucoup revenue schools have received over the years is nonsense.

This isn't the pros. Or at least it wasn't supposed to be. We go and buy tickets/merch/etc because it's Kentucky. We could have EKUs roster, and fans would still go.

$700,000 extra a year plus moves home and makes the wife happy. No brainer for him. He wins. Cats win. Most of us would move to North Korea for an extra $700,000.

No amount of money gonna outrank the power of the p. Never has, never will. I do think he will fare well out there.
What's the saying? Happy wife, happy life? Also, I don't blame the guy. It's where he's from, and Utah is just insanely beautiful. If I were fortunate enough to be in his shoes, I probably would have done the same thing.

I liked Chandler a lot. Probably cant pay him $3mil, but I think 1.5m would have bren worth it. He saved our asses in a few games. Can always use a heady player like that
He managed to make a play at crucial times in a few games. I would have liked to have him based solely on that, and his shooting - when he was on.

I’m thinking 1-2 mill. Good team mate, locker room guy, good shooter. Ball handling skills and defense needs a lot of work. IMO

Absolutely. Add Chandler and drop Morton and this might have actually been a team that could compete for a title.

Hell Pope has to overpay to get players anyway so why not? With Milan getting $6m+, paying Chandler $3m doesn’t look so bad.

It comes down to would you rather have Alex Wilkins or Collin Chandler. Because they both would start at the 2 spot on this team, so it's one or the other. I really liked Collin...but I think I would take Alex over him so I'm glad we didn't give him the 3 million. I think Wilkins has a much more well rounded game, and he can also play PG at an elite level if Diallo were to get hurt. You just have to have an elite PG facilitator/ball handler to go anywhere in March.
Chandler could have and would have started at SF. That’s where he started at this past year.

Diallo
Wilkens
Chandler
Momclivic
Moreno

That would have been very good starting 5. CC and MM on the wings would have given Zoom and Wilkens all the driving lanes they needed.

Depends on what a starter shooting 41% from the 3 gets, because he was a starter then and is a starter now at BYU.
