I seem to recall one of our finer posters suggesting a few months ago that we may need 4 of Sanchez, Howard, O'Farrill, Hazelett, Hutcherson, or Hoare in '28 to stay a solid step ahead of OSU. Is that still gonna be a thing with 5/5?

"We need so-and-so" was not a thing since we hired Cael, except with panicky fans. No reason it would be with 5/5, again except with panicky fans.

I don't think Penn State "needs" 4 of that group, but I wouldn't be shocked if they wind up with 4 of them.

I know he is only a sophomore, but it looks like two-time U17 World Champion Sammy Sanchez has bumped up to 120 this year after winning a California State title at 113 last year. Sanchez won this year's U17 title at 51kg (112.2 lb.) Also at 120 this year is Senior Rocklin Zinkin , who is a two-time returning California State champion, winning the title at 120 last season. Landon Sidun majored Zinkin at WNO two months ago. Flo's ratings have it: 1. Sidun (PSU) 2. Zinkin (OSU) 3. Munaretto (tOSU) and 4. Sanchez. Flo's P4P ratings have Sidun at #10, Sanchez at #11, Zinkin at #19 and Munaretto at #20. Zinkin and Sanchez should see each other a few times this season, and hopefully we will also get to see some additional matches among the four of them. Edit: It should also be noted that Sanchez is the only wrestler in Flo's top 20 P4P who is not a junior or senior; there are 15 seniors and four juniors. For those better in grammar than I (me? myself?), I took a chance and threw in the semicolon after "senior" because I like to use semicolons even though I never know if I am being grammatically correct or not! Since it is a blustery and cloudy day here outside of San Diego this would be the perfect time to expand my knowledge in this area : )
Exquisite semicolon usage here, Psalmguy!

Where u been? Just catching up to posts from last year? Here are some great semicolon quotes for you: "Do not use semicolons. All they do is show you've been to college." – Kurt Vonnegut. "Semicolons = the white jeans of grammar." "They are more powerful more imposing more pretentious than a comma but they are a comma all the same." – Gertrude Stein.

Re: semicolons… former wrestler and Vonnegut student, John Irving, would disagree with not embracing the semicolon.

Ha, love them all!

Yeah, man. When you let 6mos of board slop accumulate, it's much more efficient and far more joyful to find the #quality #content in a couple of fell browsing swoops.

And unlike other social online spaces, there's no stalker stigma attached when I hit yas with a favorable emoji on some old post!

These rankings are from flowrestling. I'd take the Penn State class all day. 4 top 1o vs 1.

I agree…but I think they’ve got us in the name game…

I didn’t have one team with two Maximi on MY bingo card!

That is what I thought. What are the odds they get two kids named Maximus? I don't know and I cannot recall ever meeting anyone named Maximus. I have a friend who has a son called Max but that is his full name.

These ranking of teams make no sense. I would take 4 top ten over 1 every day.

The first night after my son was born, they stuck him in the well baby nursery so we could get some sleep. He was positioned in between a Maximus and a Titan. Titan was HUGE (like 12.5lbs). My son is named after a Norse God, pretty funny because he is my 11yr old clone and clearly is not of Scandinavian stock. Ironically, my other son's namesake is my favorite Brazilian BJJ practitioner, and he got every bit of his mom's Caucasian blood - practically white hair, bright blue eyes, and pale skin.

I was trying to dance around it, but Odin and Caio.

When my wife found out she was pregnant with Caio, I just had basically my entire left shoulder sewn back together - a few days before I was set to compete in a NAGA tournament. I had to name him something BJJ related, it gave me motivation to get healthy and get back on the mats. All the other options were Helio, Renzo, Robson, etc. Wife got to name our first son so she gave me free reign for our final one. Of course, now I am tiptoeing around having my other shoulder totally rebuilt and am not training consistently again.

Can't wait for the day Caio starts kindergarten and his teacher calls out Caio XX (common Hispanic last name) and sees this big (he's really big at 20-months) kid with a mop of bright blonde hair, blue eyes, and translucent skin.

My guesses were way off.
