Yea that cyclops needs to be whiter.Oooff. I am a Christopher Nolan fan, but this could be an all-time flop. My prediction is bad CGI, anachronistic dialogue and costumes, modern American accents and DEI casting are going to make this film a laughingstock.

From the studio that produced Coraline, Paranorman, and others. This looks visually stunning
From a book series written by Colin Meloy, lead singer and guitarist for The Decemberisrs.Hmmm. Not a fan of that style or type of animation.![]()
I am a fan of the Decemberists and we need more music from them. From a book series written by Colin Meloy, lead singer and guitarist for The Decemberisrs.

He's a great author. I started reading The Graveyard Book to my son at bedtime when he was in elementary school and had to stop as it begins with a murder. The look on my kids face, lol. The book is young adult so I thought I'd be ok.Shame about Neil Gaiman - one of my favorites. Loved Sandman, Coraline, and American Gods.

That tends to be true of most celebrities. I think it's the environment and fame.Yeah, unfortunately he turned out to be not a good guy.
Thats true of SOME and fame does have a part in it but IMO it's the exposure. You start digging and looking into anyone past and you'll find something you think is pretty "not good". JMO.That tends to be true of most celebrities. I think it's the environment and fame.

Yes he is just like that disgusting producer.Gaiman’s is particularly bad IMO and he’s basically disappeared as a result. His wife is implicated too.

Eeeek. He was a big advocate of women's rights and a feminist (or whatever you call a guy who promotes that).Gaiman’s is particularly bad IMO and he’s basically disappeared as a result. His wife is implicated too.

The Good Omens show on Prime just finished up after a long delay following these allegations. It wasn't very good anyway.
Good Omens was pretty funny but then I'm a David Tennant fan.Believe Good Omens was a collaboration between Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - I was never that into it. Sandman on Netflix was terrific though.
My son is in the movie trailer business (video marketing) as an editor. Here's some of his latest work for "Masters of the Universe". These all fall into the "behind the scenes" stuff. This is not an endorsement of the movie by me or him.
One thing I've learned from him, is never believe anything you see or hear. It's amazing what an editor can do even without AI tools.

That last sentence…….Does he know Allison Brie? Asking for a friend…

And this actually looks really fun. Leto nails Skeletor.

I doubt it. The editors rarely have contact with actors. Sometimes a director or producer but very rare. The editors producer is the one with contact with the client and that's very rarely the actors but the actors occasionally stick their noses in.Does he know Allison Brie? Asking for a friend…

Disclosure Day. What are we thinking on the tomatometer? Solid buzz? Meh? Seems to me Spielberg has a high bar here, although the UAP/UFO talk is at all-time high so that may make the bar even higher.
Critics reviews are at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes as of today, which is a good sign if the upcoming audience reviews are similarly strong. In recent years, I tend to avoid movies that are rated highly by critics but low on the audience reviews. Conversely, some of the best movies that I have seen in recent years were panned by critics but loved by audiences.advance reviews are very good.
I am going to see it this weekend with my son.advance reviews are very good.
I didn't know (or think) that we needed a sequel to the 2010 film "The Social Network" (about the origins of Facebook). But apparently, somebody thinks we do, as "The Social Reckoning" is in the works.
