Really excited for this. Remember when the first game came out and we didn’t know to buy a memory card my mom, brother and I would stay up all night playing (mom mostly watched and refreshed sodas). So fun and addictive - this looks to capture that (other movies we’re fine but still).

This looks good...

Oooff. I am a Christopher Nolan fan, but this could be an all-time flop. My prediction is bad special effects, anachronistic dialogue and costumes, modern American accents and DEI casting are going to make this film a laughingstock.

Nolan legendary for lack of CGI; I mean, he has to here for some things, but the ship is the largest version of one ever built and there are no green screens save the Cyclops. He had IMAX build him a new camera to film this movie. It is gonna go gangbusters at the box office IMO (just the cast alone - Damon, Hathaway, Holland, Pattinson, Theron....).

Shame about Neil Gaiman - one of my favorites. Loved Sandman, Coraline, and American Gods.
He's a great author. I started reading The Graveyard Book to my son at bedtime when he was in elementary school and had to stop as it begins with a murder. The look on my kids face, lol. The book is young adult so I thought I'd be ok.

Yeah, unfortunately he turned out to be not a good guy.

That tends to be true of most celebrities. I think it's the environment and fame.
Thats true of SOME and fame does have a part in it but IMO it's the exposure. You start digging and looking into anyone past and you'll find something you think is pretty "not good". JMO.

Gaiman’s is particularly bad IMO and he’s basically disappeared as a result. His wife is implicated too.

Eeeek. He was a big advocate of women's rights and a feminist (or whatever you call a guy who promotes that).

The Good Omens show on Prime just finished up after a long delay following these allegations. It wasn't very good anyway.

Believe Good Omens was a collaboration between Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - I was never that into it. Sandman on Netflix was terrific though.

Good Omens was pretty funny but then I'm a David Tennant fan.

My son is in the movie trailer business (video marketing) as an editor. Here's some of his latest work for "Masters of the Universe". These all fall into the "behind the scenes" stuff. This is not an endorsement of the movie by me or him.

One thing I've learned from him, is never believe anything you see or hear. It's amazing what an editor can do even without AI tools.

Becoming He Man:

Who Is He-Man:
I cut the V1 of this - stuff got added to the middle and end:

Does he know Allison Brie? Asking for a friend…

And this actually looks really fun. Leto nails Skeletor.

I doubt it. The editors rarely have contact with actors. Sometimes a director or producer but very rare. The editors producer is the one with contact with the client and that's very rarely the actors but the actors occasionally stick their noses in.

I didn't know (or think) that we needed a sequel to the 2010 film "The Social Network" (about the origins of Facebook). But apparently, somebody thinks we do, as "The Social Reckoning" is in the works.

advance reviews are very good.
Critics reviews are at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes as of today, which is a good sign if the upcoming audience reviews are similarly strong. In recent years, I tend to avoid movies that are rated highly by critics but low on the audience reviews. Conversely, some of the best movies that I have seen in recent years were panned by critics but loved by audiences.

I'm pretty hopeful about Disclosure Day, as I don't expect a movie like this one to have a big split between critics and audience reviews, but we will see.

I saw The Backrooms last night with my son and enjoyed it. Weird movie that is different than the usual slop Hollywood puts out. This started as a YouTube series that gained popularity over the years. The creator of the series directed the film (his first) and has been a huge win at the box office.

For obvious reasons, I'm looking forward to this movie. Hopefully, it will be historically accurate (I really have made no effort to check advance reviews to see if that's the case).
