This statement is true. Given who is hosting and our time zone location a night game would be harder to justify, but would’ve been cool.Better than 11am or noon. Short week with lot of travel for USC.
You are 100% correct… 5pm, is indeed, later than 3pm… sorry, had to do it!So we did actually get the "#2 tv spot" Friday. It's just that 3pm on ESPN2 is higher priority than 5pm on ESPNU, even though the 5pm spot is later.
SoCal pretty boys ain't used to the humidity. Let's roll. It’s gonna be a million degrees both days. Expecting an evening slot was too helpful.
Weatherman said it would be hot but low humidity.SoCal pretty boys ain't used to the humidity. Let's roll.
Me 2, but my wife doesn't know yetPerfect. Have evening events both Friday and Sat.
I expect to see you in the tarps off rally section thenIt’s gonna be a million degrees both days. Expecting an evening slot was too helpful.
SUNSCREEN!!!!!Friday real feel 98 degrees... let's melt some Trojans!!
Roasting hot all three days.Temperatures are going up as the weekend nears. Could be some hot days out in the field.
Exactly what I was thinking. I have been in the LA, Anaheim, and now Coronado, San Diego area since last Wednesday and it is basically 60's and low 70's. A hot day may be tougher on them.SoCal pretty boys ain't used to the humidity. Let's roll.
98 isn't going bother them coming from LA . They are also used to making long distance trips from playing in the BIG. It would make sense for the NCAA to just keep them in Texas until they travel to Chapel Hill but again it's the NCAA
Im not sure about the 98 part. I'm here now and it's 60s and 70s.98 isn't going bother them coming from LA . They are also used to making long distance trips from playing in the BIG. It would make sense for the NCAA to just keep them in Texas until they travel to Chapel Hill but again it's the NCAA so they are probably on their way to LA lol.
I spent the first 22 years in Chapel Hill and the last 31 years in SoCal. It takes me at least 3-4 days to adjust back to the humidity when I visit in the summer. The weather will have a real impact on USC.Exactly what I was thinking. I have been in the LA, Anaheim, and now Coronado, San Diego area since last Wednesday and it is basically 60's and low 70's. Agreed, but they were also just in College Station which would be at least as humid as Chapel Hill.I spent the first 22 years in Chapel Hill and the last 31 years in SoCal. Yes but it was a little cooler in Aggieland last week and three of their games were at night. Playing in 92 degree heat in the middle of the day in Chapel Hill is another thing entirely.Agreed, but they were also just in College Station which would be at least as humid as Chapel Hill.
Parking tickets are cheaper than paid parking…Parking is going to be interesting since lots don’t go “non permit” until 5pm on Friday.
Trojans can degrade with heat. At least that's what they said about keeping them in your walletBring your sunscreen. Gonna be dang sunny and HOT.
Bout to say that. Especially SoCal boys that play in the Big10! Prolly not one series with a drop of humidity.SoCal pretty boys ain't used to the humidity. Let's roll.
I attempted to park in Ehaus and just roll the dice on getting a ticket, but there was a person waiting at the top saying that only people with special permits could park there all weekend. I just parked at Hinton James, which I’m planning on doing again this weekend. Getting stuck in Ramshead isn’t fun at all.Parking is going to be interesting since lots don’t go “non permit” until 5pm on Friday.
I would rather roll the dice on getting a parking ticket than park in Ramshead. Parking decks with 1 exit = insanity.I attempted to park in Ehaus and just roll the dice on getting a ticket, but there was a person waiting at the top saying that only people with special permits could park there all weekend. Remember though that Arizona came from playing in a very dry heat last year. I thought that the humidity would get to them, but unfortunately it did not.Bout to say that. Especially SoCal boys that play in the Big10! Prolly not one series with a drop of humidity.
Pretty sure the NCAA doesn’t have anything to do with individual team travel plans / logistics. They can get where they want, when they want - so long as they meet any mandatory press conferences, open practices, etc.98 isn't going bother them coming from LA . They are also used to making long distance trips from playing in the BIG. It would make sense for the NCAA to just keep them in Texas until they travel to Chapel Hill but again it's the NCAA so they are probably on their way to LA lol.
SoCal and Tucson are very different. I went to school at UofA for a couple years... It gets HOT! LA doesn't get nearly as warm. LA hasn't had a day in the 80's yet this year, and most days have been under 75. It is rare to have a 90 degree day in LA during the whole school year, even September. Tucson has had a handful of days over 100 already. For example... today was 75 in LA and 100 in Tucson. They are two completely different climates. Not saying USC is going to play like crap, but those AZ kids were well accustomed to heat in general.Remember though that Arizona came from playing in a very dry heat last year. I thought that the humidity would get to them, but unfortunately it did not.
The weather forecast calls for hot with low humidity. One weird thing is hot humid air makes balls fly farther, so it may artificially juice their offense
