Thank you. My goodness. That sounds frightening and just awful. He had been having issues for several weeks. I believe they thought it was sinus infection / travel related. He passed out yesterday and was taken to Concord Med who immediately airlifted him to Charlotte. It was an ailment far more dangerous that caused some extraordinary pulmonary issues. Terrible tragedy. I can say more but that’s probably more than enough
I got to meet and talk to Kyle away from racing several times. He was a really good guy. Prayers to Samantha, Braxton, Lennox and the entire Busch family. I’m worried for Kurt. He worked hard to beat issues he was dealing with and this is impossible to deal with
Terrible tragedy. I’ll be curious to see in the days ahead if KB was being stubborn, or if he was not being treated properlyThank you. My goodness. That sounds frightening and just awful.
Not a rumorCould be a rumor, but heard he had developed hemorrhagic pneumonia.
Mrs. FourHeels best friend's husband works for one of the NASCAR teams and talked to Kyle yesterday. That sounds very much like what the friend said they are hearing.Could be a rumor, but heard he had developed hemorrhagic pneumonia.
Well said. They found him non-responsive on the simulator Wednesday night. If ever there was going to be a guy in this generation to go out behind the wheel -- even if it was just the simulator -- it would be Kyle Busch.
Based on the news in recent weeks, I assumed it had spiraled into pneumonia and some sort of complication from that.
There was a lot not to like about Kyle for a lot of his career, but he was real. And NASCAR needs those personalities to be at his best. He'd certainly changed some in recent years as he invested a lot of time into Brexton and his burgeoning career.
Last summer Kyle spent every Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the races at the 1/4 mile track. Brexton ran two races a night. At the end of the night, Kyle climbed in the Legends car and raced the 40+ Masters division, and for most of the summer he whipped everybody as you'd expect. He was at the track to be a dad but while he was there, he was going to race. And win.
Exactly. Listen to your body.Sepsis from pneumonia. Wow completely avoidable.
Jim Henson also died of treatable pneumonia.Sepsis from pneumonia. Wow completely avoidable.
Yes, this result should have never happened. But one thing that should be noted is the change to "life or death" situation was very quick. Its thankfully fairly rare to occur, but it can happen just that quick.Sepsis from pneumonia. Wow completely avoidable.
Certainly depends on how rapidly treatment was sought and how symptomatic he was. I've had patients have zero signs and symptoms one day and then have fulminant sepsis the next day. All depends on the body's reaction to certain bacteria.Sepsis from pneumonia. Wow completely avoidable.
I also wonder about the impact the g forces and rigor of racing had a more negative effect on his body than the average everyday person.Certainly depends on how rapidly treatment was sought and how symptomatic he was. KB was otherwise healthyAlso wonder if there wasn’t some other underlying issue with him . Maybe heart issue or something.
