Not ideal in the fact that we really needed length out of Decaro today as not to tax our bullpen right out of the gate in game one.
I like Jason a ton, but you're exactly right. As your Friday starter, an average of 5 innings is not good.
Consistent though. He keeps giving the pitcher that 2-3 inches all game.
Game two isn’t guaranteed, there’s no need for Jason to throw a ton of stressful pitches when we have to get other guys work when it’s obvious he doesn’t have his best stuff today.
That is about as bad as it gets for a plate ump. I'll give it to him, he's consistent.
I think the announcer is going to cry as his boy is losing his touch and being yanked
You know, VT seems to do this a lot. Gets screwed on a bad call to end their half, then thinks they should’ve gotten a makeup call on a 3-2 to cooper and didn’t and both the manager and pitcher lose their cool a little and the pitcher never got it back. Another reason I really respect how Forbes runs his program.
With DeCaro’s pitch count, wonder if we see him in a spot relief appearance if Heels advance to championship game
People are so soft when it comes to announcers. Mike Ferrin is a little over the top in every ACC broadcast that he does, but he's bringing the energy for a game that started at 11am.
