And teen birth rate is higherWent to read a little more about this, Mississippi's birth rate was quite a bit higher than the national average of 1.66
OR......we could have continued out-sourcing all the BS jobs Americans don't want to do. We WERE transitioning to a 'management' type economy, but then comes the ThEyTuRkErJeRbS outrage first, and now we are making enemies with everyone and putting in tariffs to entice American companies to bring those shltty factories back here.
That's just another one of Ramsey's positions where he takes something that is generally true and applies it regardless of the situation. yes, there is a dignity to living on your own that you don't have when you move back in with your parents, and it probably does stunt your growth in some respect. But there is a difference between living at home for a year or two while you sock away money and living at home for a year or two while you use the savings to spend more on eating out, drinking, partying, and traveling. There's also a difference between being part of a multigenerational household where you are an equal member of the household, and one where you are a subsidized tenant.I 100% agree but the problem still becomes MS......there just aren't enough jobs there.
And yeah we got angry folks like Dave Ramsey out there proclaiming that kids should move out and pay rent immediately because it helps you 'grow up' and all that shlt. Never understood the need for Boomers and Gen X to try and make things as hard as possible on everybody else while not realizing their own good fortune.

Just a hunch I guessMan.....that's some valuable and outside the box insight right there buddy, how'd you come to that conclusion
Almost no houses on the market! Time for a housing boom in Pater! And our vibrant rural area is Noxapater **
How old are you man? You sound like me 10 years ago.I'm way more free trade than the average person, but we have a lot of americans that need work and don't have the capability to be managers, even if it were the case that they could just manage foreign labor from the US. And we do put a pretty big burden on american labor to make it uncompetitive. 15% right off the back on top of being a high wage, high COLA country to begin with, before you talk about all the indirect expenses. I don't think the "solution" is a good one, but I can understand the frustration of not being allowed to compete on anything near a level playing field and then being told you're too expensive compared to foreigners.

What is no kids "propaganda"? I know that most of my kids' friends have a much more negative outlook on their early life than I did because of their lived experience. Why would you want to bring a child into the world when your lived experience is that you are going to have a difficult time taking care of yourself, much less others? The amount of young people that have fallen for the no kids propaganda is going to be the catalyst for the biggest mental health crisis in world history.
People are going to freak out in about 20 years when they discover they are alone for life.
