As you mentioned, no group is a no-brainer Group of Death.
Most articles I've read seem to designate Group I as the Group of Death for this year's WC (France, Senegal, Norway, Iraq), though a few have given Group L the nod (England, Croatia, Ghana, Panama).
Modric will be on the Croatia squad, excellent. He’s over the hill (40 yo) but, man, at his best he was sensational.
The whole "Group of Death" thing has really gone away with the expanded field. The top teams are more spread out now, and finishing 3rd in a stacked group no longer means your tournament is over. As with the NCAA Tournament, I hate the expansion.

Now 48 teams into 12 groups...top 2 in each group advance, and 8 of the 12 3rd place teams also advance...and knockout starts at Round of 32 now instead of 16.

FIFA is the most draconian organization on earth. They are disgusting. Whatever your cause is, say, you hate Exxon or Meta for whatever you back, FIFA is worse than them.
Still LOTS of seats on sale from FIFA for the US opener (against Paraguay). Either $1,940 or $2,735. Some entire sections are almost completely still available. Insane.
Tickets for Arsenal’s final match at Crystal Palace are going for £10,000-£20,000, people want to see the trophy being awarded.
That price is absolutely ridiculous for group play. I see ~$900 for nosebleeds on stubhub.
It is good to see supply and demand work its magic. This looks to be one of those times when waiting for the last moment may serve ticket buyers well.
FIFA where World Cups go to nations on the Human Rights Watch list. Fifa always with the hand out and willing to bribe anyone....even with fake awards.
FIFA is similar to the UN. There's a high level of corruption, but with even more countries part of its membership.
