Agreed. Brooklyn is a PITA to get to. Last time I had a show to go to, we drove. Never again. As a NJ resident, I'll watch on TV.
If it was at MSG, I'd be there.

My guess : Kelli forced the game for NYC Metro Exposure and for NIL $It shows you that Pikiell is confident with the players he brought back with the incoming new players to schedule this type of non conference game.
Have u ever been to a big east tourney. Cuse fans galore in the nyc areaWhy would there be more Cuse fans?
Syracuse is expected to be in bottom third of acc if not basementIt shows you that Pikiell is confident with the players he brought back with the incoming new players to schedule this type of non conference game.
Big East Tournament? That was 15 years ago and they were one of the best teams in the country. Their last true OOC game in NYC was at the Barclays two years ago against Maryland. It had 8K in attendance and about half of it was Maryland fans.Have u ever been to a big east tourney. Cuse fans galore in the nyc area
Ru wont have more than 3-4k fans tops
If you can get to MSG, it's an easy subway ride to Barclay's.As a NJ resident, I'll watch on TV.

All the new dudes can hit the trey…even the 7-2 center hit two last year. Outside shooting should be a strength. Defense will be the question mark IMO.Syracuse probably still plays zone defense which Rutgers iso half court offense will have a hard time scoring against.

MSG probably didn’t want the game, not a big enough draw.As a NJ resident, I'll watch on TV.

I am a huge fan of Barclay’s, it is a great venue for basketball and the locals turn out for games. As I mentioned in another thread, there are probably more Rutgers grads in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens than there are a half hour drive from the RAC. If you want to build support for the program you need to play games like this.If Pike wanted a neutral game that was non-league at a prime venue Syracuse was about the best brand he was going to find that could be a winnable game for us, but isn’t like scheduling Howard or someone like that. It’s understandable if MSG didn’t want the game but Barclays is fine. Obviously the Pru would’ve been more convenient like when we played Miss St but whatever. At least we scheduled another high major. It’s a pleasant surprise as I really did expect all Bryant types at home.
We have some weak fans.Dont like. Will have more Cuse fans. Ill be watching from home
If that happens ( I don’t think it will), it will just show how bad our fans are.I suspect 75-80% Cuse fans.
Everyone keeps saying this. It's 100% true obviously and a lame excuse for people to not go. The people who are refusing to go are either scared of the potential subway patrons, or too lazy to learn how to navigate it.It's a 20 minute subway ride from Penn
If we look any good you'll all be there and you know it

If our fans, as a group, can’t go to Brooklyn for a game vs local rival, they suck. Some people legitimately won’t be able to make it but I actually believe Rutgers fans will go. Rutgers has a lot of good fans that actually support the program - the silent majority. The handful of vocal Debbie Downers here probably won’t go because it’s way easier to sit at home and complain.
