Love that!
Wow. It’s Definately a 63, the only year they made the split window. They’re very rare. Don’t let anything happen to that car. Just a quick search yielded this:I do not have one but probably will end up with two. My dad has a 65 Pontiac Lemans GTO, an unfinished rebuild though. He's 75, no way he gets it done so I will end up either keeping and trying to get it done or selling once he passes.
My FIL has a corvette split window coupe from the 63-67 era, I dont know exactly what year, I think 66 but not sure as I have only ever seen it 3 times and never for more than a few minutes. He keeps it in a garage under a tarp or its in a storage garage where he works on it. He's rebuilt and replaced the engine twice along with a few other items. He takes it to car shows all over and I think he loves it more than his kids/grandkids. My wife is the executor of her parents will, as we live close than her sister's family, and her father really wants that car to remain in the family even though none of us want it. He claims he was offered 200K for it, but I am not sure its quite that high. I think 200K is just the number he has invested in it over the years when you include the cost of any work done and storage.
When it's time appropriate I might be interested in both. Do you know the mileage for either / both?I do not have one but probably will end up with two. A fellow car bro shown. You had me 300 s 6Up until recently I had a 88 Toyota Landcruiser FJ62 and a 92 F150 w/ 4x4, 5 speed manual tranny, and 300 straight six engine. The FJ62 was almost entirely survivor except for a respray sometime before I bought it. Likely the best made vehicle I’ve ever owned. i really liked F150. It wasn’t show worthy but it was exactly the drivetrain I wanted. Alas, it nickled and dimed me to death and I sold both to buy a new F150.
