tough 2nd quarter for PSU. Aquino limped off at the end of the 1st qtr, and has not returned.

PSU scored two late goals to create the tie.

Interesting 3rd qtr.

PSU's Aquino returned pretty late in the qtr., was on the field for a couple of possessions, and then was taken off. Also,, two of PSU's best defenders went off, one due to a cramp and one for an unknown injury.

One more period to decide who goes to the Final Four.

PSU scored the 1st goal of the 4th qtr, and then were held off the scoreboard. A couple of turnovers didn't help. Princeton's last goal was an open netter, when PSU was doing everything they could to force a turnover.

An excellent season for PSU. Trying to battle the #1 seed, Princeton, without Aquino for most of the match was not a great situation for PSU, but they battled and were right in the match until the end.

Princeton is ranked #1? For f*ck’s sake. I guess we weren’t going to outsmart them.

😞
Yes. Looks like men's lacrosse is one of the sports the Ivies excell in. Last year's champions were Cornell. Princeton has won it all a few time in the past.

I often wonder how the Ivies recruit their players. I understand they don't offer athletic scholarships, so how do they get these guys when PSU, ND, Duke, Cuse, etc offer scholarships?

they find other scholarships. The scholarship is not for being an athlete, it is for something else the student is good at.
