For me as a fan, its a turnoff. I absolutely get why programs are going to go this way, it was inevitable. So much untapped potential. But if our roster becomes overwhelmingly international mercenaries, I think for me personally as a fan, that'll be it.
Football at least is still predominately American. College sports and pro sports are SUPPOSED to be about different things. College is obviously going the way of pros. I get it, we can all see why things are evolving the way they are. It just feels like they're giving us less and less reason to keep caring about this stuff as fans.
