Football at least is still predominately American. College sports and pro sports are SUPPOSED to be about different things. College is obviously going the way of pros. I get this notion but international players are taking over nba and now college. Look at the elite eight and even sweet sixteen last year and those teams were full of international flavor. Duke was the only high level squad that didn't, but their star played the exact same way.

They're taking over because aau ruined basketball in the US. From early on, USA kids are taught essentially zero fundamentals and only to chase their own stats and their own individual success. Jasper is the latest example.

Ya the mercenary aspect of college basketball sucks but if UK is going to succeed they need to focus mainly on international. Ya its still year to year, but at least the given year wont be saddled with awful shots and me first attitudes. Instead it would be high level team basketball that will allow us to at least keep pace with the pack.
