Serious question for some....do y'all enjoy watching the games?
The best thing I ever did was start covering sports because you realize that 99.9 percent of the time, the players are just regular dudes with talent and it makes it so much easier to watch and enjoy rather than freak out second by second, minute by minute, pitch by pitch.......and 99% of the time the same can be said for whatever team the team you pull for is playing. And one thing is certain....they all care and want to win beyond any fandom/fanaticism out there....and they are trying to win beyond anything we can do/experience as watchers.
These boards are amazing and those of y'all I have seen out in the wild are amazing and so different than what I see on here is almost like two distinct worlds....lol
Anyway.....soap box put up. Enjoy the rides. And remember what Dean Smith once said......
I’m gonna be honest, the way last year ended was the worst I’ve felt since at least 2008 and maybe 2006, and I so badly want to get back to Omaha to erase that taste out of our mouth. And frankly I’m a little paranoid that we’re an arm short or our studs will run out of gas.
I’ve greatly enjoyed the year, especially considering the way the first two conference games went. What we did finding Schaffner and Hull in the portal and the way they’ve performed is remarkable, along with the other guys we brought in. Our top guys on the mound are so good that I think we can compete with anybody. I just want to see us get the chance and for them to be at their best when it happens.
Specific to tonight, I thought being up 10-2 was a chance to give somebody else a chance to see if they could put together an outing that would give a confidence boost going into the tournaments. Certainly can’t blame going to Glauber once it got interesting, and it was good for him to get out there on a back-to-back.
