Not with total pitches. I don’t think he will throw a 60th pitch though unless there’s two outs and already into the third batter
Let’s start Glauber tomorrow, why not. He hasn’t thrown enough this weekend.
He said he wanted to keep them around 40 yesterday so that they could pitch twice this weekend, which Glauber is now doing
Coach Avent lives just around the corner from me. You don’t see him out very much but the few times I have have met him he comes across as a really nice guy. Just my gut feel but I would not be surprised if this was his last year.
I don’t hate Forbes’ decision to leave Globe out there. But he’s absolutely done for tomorrow. No question about it.
He’s thrown a total of 100 pitches in 2 days. If he was a starter and threw 100 pitches in 1 day you wouldn’t be worried about it. If he pitched again tomorrow I’d be worried but that won’t happen.

Globe was cruising stress free. The mistake in my opinion was not starting Chewy in the 4th? Lynch spent a lot of gas in 2 stressful innings. About 60 pitches in 2 innings is a lot. And he didn’t have anything off speed. You were up big. Start Chewy and he may cruise for 2 or 3 innings. And I think we have the best staff in college baseball by the way. Baseball is always a 2nd guess game

What a performance by our offense tonight. And Glauber came in and righted the ship. We really do have Boaz, Rose, McDuffie, and Matty tomorrow…which is a lot of good arms for the third game of a series.
After this game thread I'm not so sure some of you know this, but the Tar Heels are a very, very good baseball team. And for every decision Forbes makes that doesn't work out well, he makes about 100 others that work out great. Baseball games are long, to quote Tommy.
