lol “and now you are in my face”
Good point! And if someone beats Nico in the room, are we allowed to say it or do we have to wait until it works its way through the rumor mill and Mineo posts it on Facebook? If someone actually knows which mat Carton and Pletcher are on, can they post it or do you want them to wait until the match is over before they post the mat assignment?
Catch and release or do you take them to a pay lake? With the risk of turning this into a Bo Nickal Bear hunting thread: Woodchuck is good for getting snappers, we used mille jug lines. Can't say eating it seems too fun.
Id have someone pull the fire alarm at the bar.Serious question… NCAA finals.
if you knew your buddies were at a bar where the TV was a minute behind live. And you were at the live event.
Would you fire off a group chat with the result of every match as it happens? Or would you wait a minute?
Don't listen @FatwoodchuckWith the risk of turning this into a Bo Nickal Bear hunting thread: Woodchuck is good for getting snappers, we used mille jug lines. Can't say eating it seems too fun.
This thread was started in April. Can I ask why it was corrupted with pbp posts that I have to surf over to get to people's thoughts and opinions on the matches?
See, I can be a whiny ***** too...
If you see the accounts that whined, aside from coastal, they were freshman accounts I can't recall seeing before much if at all. I think this thread was successfully trolled yesterday. The bickering in this thread is beyond annoying. A great day for PSU wrestlers in the competition, and we have all this other nonsense to wade through.
Folks are always welcome to post results, whether it is accompanied by PBP, or inserted into an edited post, or anything else. Any information, in any competition, that involves a PSU wrestler, a PSU recruit, or a NLWC wrestler, is always welcome.
There is absolutely no rule about waiting to post reactions, or a final score, until PBP is posted in a thread. We are fans of wrestling, and those that bring info about it should always be encouraged.
@SlipperyPete. when he does PBP, usually makes a post at the end of the 1st period (in folkstyle), and then updates that post after the subsequent periods. As such, his complete PBP often appears in a thread before any final scores for the match. I generally didn't follow that approach in the many years in which I did PBP, and would post my match PBP after the end of the match, and as such it would be after several posts that had the results at the end of a period, or even the final results.
There is no correct or incorrect approach in terms of how to post PBP, either for those active/following along in the thread during the competition, or those that read it hours later. It gets posted when the person that is giving of their time and knowledge gets to it.
This is probably a non-issue for 95% of those that frequent this board. For the other 5%, just chill out, and enjoy a place where we follow all aspects of PSU wrestling.
UV affected your wrestling vision, apparently.James is definitely the future and is gonna be really good but him beating Caliendo right now is something I don't see happening.
Aiello is crafty and will cause some problems for Cole defensively
Actually, even though I'm not keeping score, you're really good at it!Just so I'm clear with everyone here, im.not changing a damn thing with the way I post in these match threads. If you guys want your pbps to be void of discussion then ask the person to do a pbp only thread. That should be the popular board etiquette anyway. This thread was started in April for Christ's sake. All of the sudden you want all of us watching the matches live as they are happening to stfu until your pbp is finished being posted? I'll be the prick here then, why the f*** is this thread being corrupted with your pbp posts that I shouldnt have to scroll over to get to people's thoughts and opinions of the match? See, I can be a whiny ***** too...
He's an :Actually, even though I'm not keeping score, you're really good at it!
Good Lord, you cannot be serious. It's been the same on here or Rivals for over 20 years. Wth are you even talking about. For years, many of us have provided scores just to keep folks informed who cannot watch the match.Nah. You are in the “I know something you don’t know” category of posters. Many of us aren’t even on the forum when the matches are happening, let alone 10 minutes delayed.
there is absolutely 0.0 reason for you or anyone else to post the score knowing full well 1) other guys are putting bigtime effort into play by play, and 2) some guys enjoy the drama of the PbP.
you are just trying to be first, cuz that makes you special. Congrats. You are special.

First off, you're clueless. No one is trying to post first. 2 things are occurring and always have. People post current scoring for folks at work, are busy, or who don't have Flo. 2nd, they post to add context while the match is occurring, or after. Just like James's pin. No, no one is going to sit around and wait for pbp. That's insane and makes no sense.Actually you can’t if you come in an hour after the match.
Do you realize that there is absolutely no downside to the “I gotta post the results first guy” doing the same thing? No downside other than he can’t be the “post first guy”.
Now that Penn State wrestling is King of the Hill we have a lot more fans. I said before that they wouldn't have made it through the Sunderland years but then again, yes they would have because they wouldn't have followed Penn State wrestling.I personally don't ,/won't do Flo and enjoy the PBP. I'm not a big Freestyle fan. I pay for a big Big Ten + and ESPN+. If I wait a while until someone post a video of a match I still will watch it if the PBB dictates it .
I get more irritated with posters that just are sour about a majority of everything.
No .. you come in and start scrolling down. You read discussion of upcoming match … You come to a post that says “Zain up next”.If you come in after the match, the PBP is the first thread and is complete so you get to read it all the way through before you read any “spoilers.”
I’m smfh at this inane points some are coming up with.
No .. you come in and start scrolling down. You read discussion of upcoming match … You come to a post that says “Zain up next”.
And before this tourney the next post would be PbP and you could read it. This tourney the next post you would see is “what a pin by …”, then the post w PbP.
And no, there wasn’t any mid match “discussion” along the lines of “Zain might be gassing” or “ Spencer just looks too strong” or “Jayden can get to legs but not finish”.
So, your complaint is that you read the result before you could read the result? " Oh man, I read that zain wins before I read a longer post describing that zain won". Get off it.No .. you come in and start scrolling down. You read discussion of upcoming match … You come to a post that says “Zain up next”.

This is precisely why people refresh the board after every post during NCAA's when they can't watch. It's always been this way.So, your complaint is that you read the result before you could read the result? " Oh man, I read that zain wins before I read a longer post describing that zain won". Get off it.
*You just ensured that every single future thread about competition will have people posting results in real time by the way. Well done![]()
I remember when I was watching the previous year’s Soldier Salute and the board ruined it for me that Ayala moved up to 133 the following season. Bastards.
He's got a valid complaint as others echo it as well. He's not alone and should be able to voice his complaint without others piling on. This isn't HR, for Christ sake.Go create your own board and you can do it however you want.

or just chill like Tom said. The thread is gonna threadHe's got a valid complaint as others echo it as well. He's not alone and should be able to voice his complaint without others piling on. This isn't HR, for Christ sake.
If people are going to make a post before the match starts, then wait 7 minutes until the match is over to go back and edit that post with the result, meanwhile the pbp's have been going on for the past 7 minutes, then the easiest solution is to either Ignore that user, or have a dedicated PBP thread and a separate Discussion thread.
is it raining yet? oh, don't tell me it until its done please...Another new poster who doesn’t actually contribute to the board but wants to come and complain. Get the **** out of here with that bs. I don’t really think I’m “a know it all poster” but there are definitely a few things I know that you didn’t and that’s the score of these matches as they were happening. One last thing before I just put you on ignore, the goat of pbp @SlipperyPete has never once bitched and moaned like you are. This is a forum to discuss wrestling and the matches that are happening at that moment which is what I and pretty much every other poster is doing. Either contribute or leave
agreed - if you're not following live... what diff does it make? Go get the flo app and problem solved.Gotta be honest, I side with the people that are actually posting and contributing ideas and their thoughts while matches are going on over those that want to read the results an hour, 6 hours, a day... 3 days or even 6 months after the fact. It's a discussion board imo. Not an archive with results for those that want to get them when they decide they want to get them.
Or....Just spit balling here...Do what you want and ignore who you want. He's got a valid complaint as others echo it as well. He's not alone and should be able to voice his complaint without others piling on. This isn't HR, for Christ sake.

Schedule says the men start at 1:30. Assuming they will start at 57kg so it will probably be closer to 2PM until our guys wrestle. What time this afternoon are the finals ? Est of course

At least they’re not temporarily suspending our canteen accounts. To all inmates:
Rec and yard privileges will be suspended until further notice. Pudding is removed from the dinner menu!

Yeah 1996, alas this board was such a pain in the butt. A green chalk board out at The Mall, so frustrating when it rained. All of my posts had to be so much shorter, it was like twitter for cave men.Screw you I’ve been on the board for 30 years … different user name but I have literally posted since the days of the original McAndrew board.
Wait until you hear what Ferrari did at Son of Midlands.I remember when I was watching the previous year’s Soldier Salute and the board ruined it for me that Ayala moved up to 133 the following season. Bastards.
Thankfully there was never a line.Yeah 1996, alas this board was such a pain in the butt. A green chalk board out at The Mall, so frustrating when it rained. All of my posts had to be so much shorter, it was like twitter for cave men.
Wait until you find out he's getting married. Oh, wait, maybe we shouldn't say that until after he's married.Wait until you hear what Ferrari did at Son of Midlands.
