We have the other sports because we have to per NCAA rules. Must field at least 14 teams.
The world of college baseball changed a while ago, teams in the northern part of the US just can no longer compete with the teams in the south. Now that doesn't excuse our poor performances recently in a weak BE baseball conference.Don’t forget soccer & baseball we’re too - back in the day.

I’m guessing we also offer the minimum number of scholarships for these sports, while other programs are expanding the number of scholarships available (plus adding some NIL). I know that’s been an issue for other schools. We also run barely enough sports

Do you support or care about any sport at SH, other than men's BB?Yea that’s great
How many sports do they offer? With cuts I bet it’s way more than 6 funded men’s sports
That’s a joke honestly
Yes a lot and more than you knowDo you support or care about any sport at SH, other than men's BB?
That's why I asked. I'm happy when soccer does well, I'd like to see baseball and softball do better. But if I'm being honest, I'd be fine if the rest were mediocre, or worse, if we got MBB consistently good. Take care of the revenue producers first, then use the revenue to fix the rest.Yes a lot and more than you know
We can agree or disagree, but this is the decision/choice of the BOR.We are a small school without room or budget to offer more sports. We support our sports at a minimum level to remain in the Big East and that's one of the reasons why our teams haven't had a lot of success lately. We were always underfunded compared to peers and now you throw in Pay4Play and we lose our top athletes in most every sport.
We are a Basketball school first and foremost and every dollar we save by offering the minimum means we can spend more on Basketball.
