According to the official PSU Homecoming website, the homecoming game will be played September 26 vs Wisconsin. Furthermore, if you look calender of events for the weekend, it has the game time listed as 3:30 PM. Not sure if that time is "official" or just a placeholder - I have not seen any Big Ten announcements of Homecoming times yet, though they do typically get revealed in the pre-season.

I will say I'm a little surprised as I thought the Purdue game on October 31 was the shoo in for Homecoming, but perhaps they didn't want to conflict with Halloween. Wisconsin is arguably the second best game on the home schedule so I thought they'd use Homecoming to drum up interest for one of the other games.

Update: the game time is not set. Apparently, the site was just using the 3:30 PM time for last year's homecoming game and did not update it.

So kickoff time still TBD. Wisconsin game is indeed Homecoming though.

That's a bit early for homecoming. I agree with you that Purdue seems like a more natural fit. - In October, and probably a better chance of a win.

If true, some event scheduler needs to be fired.

Homecoming should only be scheduled post October 1st vs a cupcake.
