I don’t get this with music. Why is it important to you that I have the same opinion as you? I’m not going down that path for this reason. If I gave you songs, then you would try to argue that my opinion is wrong and I honestly don’t care enough about Billy Joel to get into a pissing contest about him.
Like I said, if you like him listen to the hell out of his stuff.
YOU made the clam that Billy Joel wrote some schmaltzy songs and when I asked you to name some which in your opinion were schmaltzy you refused to do so and then gave some lame a** excuse claiming I would try to argue that they weren’t. Apparently you missed how I agreed with another poster who named one. Absolutely pathetic.

I haven't seen anyone mention Jason Isbell. But he has written some great songs, and I don't think he's done yet.

OK, if you’re intent on learning my opinion here it is. Keeping the Faith is schmaltzy crap. Mulberry Street (or something like that). Still Rock and Roll to Me. The lullaby song. We Didn’t Start the Fire (maybe not schmatzy, but crappy nonetheless). This is just a handful off the top of my head.
Again, this is all obviously just my opinion. Yours apparently differs. Enjoy it.
