Nebraska is first to market (as far as I can tell) with its non-conference schedule:
FWIW, I put in a right to know request to Oklahoma for any contracts, documents, or communications regarding a visit from Penn State this year to complete a possible home and home, which many assumed would be the case, after the Sooners came to the BJC last year. They had nothing to pass along. Doesn't mean it won't happen. It could be possible that nothing is on record yet, or that my request wasn't specific enough, or that there is just no return trip for the Lions. Anyway, just wanted to pass that along.
@GregPickel I know you keep track of this ... what dates did PSU release their schedule the past few years?
I’ll look it up then but no where near now haha. Last year was a little earlier than normal.
Sept 29 last year. Oct 8 in 2024. Oct 2 in 2023. Oct 4 in 2022.
I am always surprised when I read the actual dates. It always feels as though they send me a bill, i send a check and then sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas they release the schedule.
I think the Black Knight Invitational is about as certain as the Lehigh match.
Ha, the reason I went outside of PA for this particular endeavor was because Oklahoma is a public university and this subject to these types of request which PSU, Bucknell, etc are not.Did you make a request to see if Bucknell gets a return trip as well?
I think Penn State’s schedule is even more non-consensual. Nobody really wants to wrestle Penn State.

Sorry for my ambiguous snark, but I was wondering if Bucknell was going to make a return trip to Oklahoma. The Sooners wrestled them in Lewisburg the day after they wrestled us. Perhaps we could get Ira to pony up for a larger charter and share with the Bison.
Aw,man, I'm sorry! That flew right over my head, clearly. In hindsight, definitely should have checked on that, as well.
I attended the Black Knight last year since it is only a 3 hour drive from my house (SC is 6+). Really good tourney to attend - except they ran out of food before the semis. Great to see some of our non-starters get their chance to show what they can do. Also got the see Levi ‘forget’ he was wrestling folkstyle and not freestyle and leg-lace an opponent for what would have been 2 exposures.
Glad you had a good time. I've heard nothing but good things from others who have attended in the past.
It is just a cool place to go. The cadets, the history, the look and feel are fantastic. I’ve been there many times - just have to get there for the Black Knight to round it all off.
