Your Friends and Neighbors S2 drops today on AppleTV. Really liked S1.
DTF St Louis wrapped up last night on HBO. Anyone watch it? Quirky show with some great performances. Lots of sadness in this show.

Sadness and complicated characters.DTF St Louis wrapped up last night on HBO. Anyone watch it? Quirky show with some great performances. Lots of sadness in this show.
I thought it was funny“Big Mistakes” on Netflix, too stupid for words.
Maybe it's just me. I can't stand entitled screwups like Morgan, the daughter.I thought it was funny
DTF St Louis is off beat. Provided you’re not watching with kids or someone who requires a “ride into the sunset” ending, it’s a worthy candidate (IMHO).Looking for a new show. Really enjoying Rooster and The Pitt. Liked Paradise but might've jumped the shark in the last episode. Waiting for all episodes to be released before starting For All Mankind. Started Monarch but kinda petered out. Finished American Primeval which was pretty good but not great like Godless.

Not sure what you have or haven’t seen but The Abandons on Netflix scratches that western itch (great cast led by Gillian Anderson and Lena Headg) a bit. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms if you’re a fan of GoT and/or medieval times. Mindhunter on Netflix is really well done but only two seasons. Last of Us of course.
Here is another one, not a new show, but I just finally got around to watching Animal Kingdom.Interesting. The only show on that list that I've I watched is Pluribus. The first half of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was so enjoyable, but I wished it hadn't taken such a dark turn (though I understand why it did). Mindhunter was great. Perfectly cast, wish there had been just one more season.
Animal Kingdom starts very well, kind of goes off the rails. Here is another one, not a new show, but I just finally got around to watching Animal Kingdom.
6 seasons. Can be gritty and clearly far-fetched plots, but I liked it. I have some ties to Oceanside, CA, that may have helped.
Hated the ending, sad how it all went down. Definitely beautiful scenary..Animal Kingdom starts very well, kind of goes off the rails.
This could work but need Tina Fey in this…
Agree with the quirky and sad comments.DTF St Louis wrapped up last night on HBO. Anyone watch it? Quirky show with some great performances. Lots of sadness in this show.

The Bruce Willis movie is one of my favorites. Very well done. Includes Brad Pitt and David Morse.Recently started watching the 12 Monkeys series, currently streaming on Prime. Now into season 2. One of those rare shows that really grabbed me from the outset and made me want to keep watching. Highly recommend. I haven't watched the Bruce Willis movie yet (have never seen it), intend to do that when I've finished the series.
guessing you've seen Sex Education ... that's oneAs an aside, is it just me or are there no longer shows/movies being made about high school/college/immediate post-college life? As a Gen Xer born in '74, my HS/college years were full of these kinds of shows and movies - 90210, St. Elmo's Fire, Party of Five, Freaks and Geeks, Reality Bites, Empire Records, the John Hughes films, Kevin Smith films, Singles, Fight Club, Trainspotting, Ghost World, etc. Everything seems to continue to cater to our generation and it's either nostalgia based (like Stranger Things) or about mid-life crisis. Just so weird but maybe I'm not catching the right shows/movies...

I'm about at the very end of the Baby boomers and like a lot of those you mentioned. Freaks and Geeks does not get the credit it deserves. As an aside, is it just me or are there no longer shows/movies being made about high school/college/immediate post-college life? Freaks and Geeks is top-notch but, really, what’s there to be nostalgic about from high school? You’ll always be reminded of your clumsiness, f that.I'm about at the very end of the Baby boomers and like a lot of those you mentioned. Freaks and Geeks does not get the credit it deserves.
