To fully appreciate this shot, I think you must have played soccer, or reffed soccer. Scoring from this distance, on the near post, while keeping the ball low and on the ground, is really difficult to do. It may seem somewhat routine on TV or on this video clip, but it's anything but. Simply a heck of a shot.

Man U. breaks the tie in the 77th minute, and holds on for the win, 3-2.

Villa showed nothing yesterday, surprised me.
They haven't played well for a long time. Also, in a sport in which there are no playoffs, once a team's position becomes solidified, performances at the end of the season often become indifferent. They also have the second leg of the Euro semis on Thursday against Forest, in which they have to erase a one goal deficit.

Yeah, I was wondering that. Thanks, good explanation. Arsenal’s next EPL match is against the Hammers, who will be fighting for their lives.

Yes. I basically spend much of my weekends watching any soccer match that I can. Yesterday, I watched Celtic-Hibernian, LFC-MUFC, Villa-Spurs, and Inter Milan (which is my favorite team)-Parma. I was happy to be able to see Inter win their third Scudetto since 2021.

Unfortunately, at this time of the season, the only games that have much intensity, unless it's a true rivalry, are games that affect the champion or relegation.

I was expecting a bit more gumption from Villa as I think Bournemouth still has a chance to take their CL spot for next year.

Forgive me Father, but I shall have to be a Gooner for one day. 😳

Yeah they sat quite a few, no McGinn, and are more focused on the Europa title currently. No way Sancho starts if something was really on the line.

For the moment, I’m not unclenching.
Big match for City today. They basically are W or done and they need to make up 4-5 goals in the 2 games they are making up for the goal differential. Chelsea down 2-0 to Forest currently as the second half is about to kick off.

Ughhhh, Everton just can’t close lately. So many wasted points.
Amazing to me that City found themselves down 1-3 after the first half they played. By halftime I was convinced that City would get their 3 points.
