My older son (UNC c/o '21) took a History of Country Music class a few years ago and Don was a guest lecturer for one of the classes.I see several mentions of Randy Travis. RIP Durham native Don Schlitz. The only member of The Grand Ole Opry to ever be inducted for songwriting rather than performing.
