Idk but it’s gonna need to be a big splash. If I’m Pope I’m meeting with Stokes and going all-in on a massive final take it or leave it offer. If he doesn’t want to commit, I pull all funds that I can put together and offer Momcilovic
Pope has to seriously hope he can entice some fringe 1st rounders to come back to college and play. It’s a deep draft and as we seen with Mullins, late first round money isn’t too far apart from NIL dollars.
At this point, wait for him to get fired. He blew this and there really aren’t any options that will make this team any better than it is. We’re likely looking at an NIT next season barring CMP pulling a rabbit out of his hat.

Roster construction will take a lot longer than the Stokes commitment timeline if we want impact players. Going to have to wait for guys to complete the pre-draft process (or lure them out with huge money) and scour the overseas market. Just need a lot of luck at this point.
That is the problem: There aren't any options with Freeman going to St. Johns. All that is left are a couple of guys that are staying in the NBA draft and a bunch of stiffs that simply aren't talented/skilled enough to be starting PFs in the SEC. Pope is screwed, and unfortunately, so are all of us. Next season's team will be WORSE than this one was, and that means bye-bye Pope, bye-bye all time wins and hello to suckage.
