You can stop pretending you are a Libertarian. There's plenty of Libertarians that don't agree with what Massey does. You support him because he fights with Trump on issues that allows Democrats to become stronger and take advantage of our weaknesses. If he was a stronger Libertarian on National Defense the left wouldn't be defending him.

I agree so much with this post Massie is a good man, he’s a WVian, and crazy intelligent. But, like I’ve said about other libertarians, they pick the fight with the wrong people and ultimately end up enabling worse damage to occur because they decided to with their brother instead of the person robbing the house.

I know plenty of Libertarians that don't agree with the route some Libertarians are taking. Their policies aren't going to work anyways if people don't stop the radical left and their allies overseas. At best what they are rooting for leads to a Civil War. One where they don't control the military and they get bombed milking the cow. Who bombs them is the only question in the equation.

Massie has been using foreign countries propaganda about what has happened from South America all the way to China. Crying about drug boats getting bombed when that poison has killed millions of Americans while raising money for more terrorists groups was beyond moronic.

If you want to grow some weed with your tomato plants take it up with your local law enforcement. There's bigger fish being fried right now and nobody wants to hear his stupid *** talking points right now. It's a big world with alot of evil people trying to kill our citizens and destroy our country. Maybe he should go back to his farm and let others handle all this. He can have his utopia there until our enemies show up to take it.

It would be great if we lived in a world of line item vetos and being able to vote solely on the issue at hand. That’s not the world we live in, and Massie acting like it is causes more damage to what he and his constituents want than going along with the “party he belongs to”. So, to your point about a loyalty test, he’s a member of the party, it is a fvcking loyalty test, or leave the party and go register as a libertarian or independent with the rest of the idealistic poors.

he takes party money, he votes with the party. That’s the deal. Stop being so naive.

LEXINGTON, Ky.- A federal criminal complaint was unsealed in the U.S. District Court in Lexington on Wednesday charging Kadrioan Serainity Santiago, 23, with interstate threatening communication.

According to the criminal complaint, on April 1, 2026, FBI received information that Santiago, under the username “kadi_skating,” had been posting a series of politically violent threats and statements on Instagram between January 2026 and late March 2026. Among other things, Santiago threatened to cut President Donald Trump’s face with a razor blade, pull his skin off and feed the skin to stray dogs; threatened to kill the next member of law enforcement who interacted with him; encouraged others to shoot at ICE agents; and threatened to kill ICE agents himself.

The criminal complaint alleges that Santiago began posting the threatening communication in January 2026, posting, “im filled with political violence.”

“Threatening violence against the President and federal law enforcement officers strike at the core of our nation’s safety and the rule of law,” said Jason Parman, First Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky. “These actions will not be tolerated and will be met with swift and decisive prosecution. Through the FBI’s diligence and swift action, we moved quickly to address this threat and will pursue prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”

"To those who choose to hide behind the anonymity of a screen to unleash threats against the President of the United States, other government officials, and law enforcement, the FBI will find you,” said Olivia Olson, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, Louisville Field Office. “It is against the law to post threatening communications online, and the FBI and our partners will use every available resource to identify, locate, and arrest those who choose to do so."

Jason Parman, First Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Olivia Olson, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, Louisville Field Office, jointly announced the criminal complaint.

The case is being investigated by the FBI. Assistant United States Attorney Emily Greenfield is representing the United States in this case.

So if you're not going to vote strictly along one of the two party lines as a politician, you shouldn't be allowed?
If you vote for what you and your constituents actually believe in over what the national party demands, you shouldn't be a politician and you're the enemy?
If every politician follows that rule, all it takes is for the people at the very top to get corrupted or controlled, and the voters lose all their power.

I've heard it called Superpower Suicide. It will take decades to recover from the Trump disaster if at all.

President Donald Trump’s belligerent rhetoric toward America’s allies may please his domestic political base, but it is harming America’s international standing — perhaps permanently.

“Trump, for so many people, epitomizes the ugly American — somebody who is bumptious and vulgar and ignorant about foreign cultures,” former Time Magazine editor Rick Stengel said in a recent podcast appearance on The Bulwark with former Daily Beast editor-in-chief John Avlon. “So I think people sort of have come to the end of their patience with America.”

Avlon replied to Stengel by noting that polls found presidents like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, who engaged in positive diplomatic relationships with other countries, were far more popular than the bellicose Trump. Indeed, Stengel noted that America’s foreign standing has “plummeted” during Trump’s two terms.

“It always seemed absurd to me when Trumpists would say that we need to be respected on the world stage, when you could see in the data that America was not respected — was held in worse regard when Trump was president, even than Chinese president-for-life Xi,” Avlon told Stengel. “So I wonder now with Iran, though — we seem to have crossed a Rubicon, because it was a war of choice, because our allies are not with us. And tell me about the downstream effect of that as you see it.”

Stengel added that, even though Joe Biden tried to reverse the damage to America’s reputation caused by Trump’s first term, America’s allies were not convinced that Biden would remain in power long enough to keep those policies in place. Trump’s reelection in 2024 confirmed their fears.

“This seesaw in presidential politics is something that people don't really understand,” Stengel told Avlon. “And then this Iran thing — by the way, what was probably most popular about Trump on the world stage was his sort of isolationism: that this isn't about America invading foreign countries and this world of endless wars, that America would retrench globally in terms of militaries but increase their presence globally in terms of trade and globalization. In some ways, it's the exact opposite. The alliances are also part of this idea of soft power, because — and I hate that phrase we used to use — we're not the world's policemen. We weren't the world's policemen, but we were the kind of foundation of the global world order, that people could trust America to abide by the rule of law, to be a pretty fairly honest broker. Not to say we wouldn't do bad things, but that is completely out the window.”

He concluded, “And the kind of ‘America First’ which has now actually caused it to get into a war is something that makes us much more isolated and much less popular, to an extraordinary extent.”

In February the New York Times reported that Trump’s imperialist rhetoric toward Denmark about acquiring Greenland and his conquest of Venezuela had convinced America’s European allies to decouple their most valuable financial and digital assets from American corporations. His tariffs have similarly prompted talk among Europeans of a permanent “divorce” from the US, with a senior European official telling Politico that “there is a shift in U.S. policy and in many ways it is permanent. Waiting it out is not a solution. What needs to be done is an orderly and coordinated movement to a new reality.”

No, he can vote his conscience, but if it contradicts the party’s position, or causes broader detriment to the country because he chose to stand on principle, he nor people who support him should really be questioning why people are pissed. And also, it better be for a damn good reason.

If you think people in Washington vote on the merits of things only, I’ve got some real nice oceanfront in Mingo county for you. Politics is compromise. Massey has now become the most ineffectual Republican we have. Going forward, no one in his party will work with him to try and pass anything he tries to do because of his actions. That’s just a fact. Regardless if he gets primaried, which he should, he’s now just residing in an office with zero people to help him move his agenda, any agenda forward.

There is how we wished the world worked, and there is how the world works. As I’ve said, you’re very long on idealism, you’ve not been sufficiently disenfranchised by the realities of DC. I’m gonna guess you’re early 30s, maybe late 20s. How close am I?

before the 2020 presidential election, U.S. intelligence issued a secret but stark warning that foreign adversaries had the capability to “compromise" America's voting infrastructure and raised specific concerns about the vulnerability of voter registration databases that later would be penetrated by China and Iran, a newly declassified memo obtained by Just the News shows.


The National Intelligence Council's (NIC) concerns were so extensive that officials personally briefed President Donald Trump at the White House in February 2020, according to photos obtained by Just the News showing top CIA, FBI and Homeland Security officials joining with NIC analysts to inform the president.

But the American public was never fully alerted, even after evidence emerged that China had gained access to voter registration data in multiple states and had even sent fake driver's licenses to the United States in a bid to help Joe Biden win the election, officials said.


We judge that US adversaries, including, at a minimum, Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, as well as non-state groups, have the capability to compromise US election infrastructure for the 2020 presidential election," the NIC wrote in the memo dated Jan. 15, 2020.


"Adversaries gaining access to US election-related systems could disrupt the voting process, steal sensitive data, or undermine confidence in the election results, but we do not know whether any of them have specific plans to manipulate election-related systems," the memo added.

The document was recently declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who continues to expose examples of the intelligence community suppressing or misusing intelligence.

The fact that so many people think voting with principles and not on party lines is worse than voting party lines, even if it isn't what their constituents want, is the exact problem! Putting red team vs blue team like it is some sport.

Our Congress is not “The World.” As a matter of fact, it is supposed to be the exact thing in government that operates like “we wished.” This isn’t realism versus idealism. It’s whether Congress serves the public or just protects its own rotten system. When someone challenges the system and gets isolated for it, that says way more about how ****** the system is than about the guy.

What metric do you want to look at? Numbers on Social Security? Number of people on welfare? Birth rates? Housing affordability? Military strength and readiness? Support for vets maybe?

I can tell you debt is closing in on $40TRILLION and adding something like <$2T a year and that's not counting the $4T added in 2020, which MASSIE was the ONLY ONE to show up and do his job to try to get a vote recorded.

I’d love for everyone to vote on the merits. That’s just not reality though when one side is a monolith. The principled position will soon be in the minority and really outflanked. You’re wanting idealism, I get it. You have to acknowledge that giving wins to the left is worse than not voting your conscience. I’m not sure how much worse the country has to get at their hands before you realize they have to be stopped cold in their tracks.

In this case I want congress to represent the people. Is that moronic? Is that idealism?

Want to know how you stop them in their tracks? End the Fed, at least audit it. If they cant print money to give away and to fund their dumbass ideas then it all dies because nobody will support it with their own money. Free markets and all, I know crazy ideas.

What is it that you want for the future of our country?
I'm not asking for anything idealistic I just want to work toward something positive instead of only constantly reacting out of fear.

Again I ask what you are suggesting is the status quo, how's that going? How would you even measure positive change?
