I thought someone would have mentioned General Johnson by now considering our dance girls perform to his tune at every football game! He may not have been born in NC but lived in Charlotte for a long time. Terrible that a knee replacement caused his death.
Got a photo of him playing The Continental Club hanging on my wall.
I‘ll add Ryan Adam’s to the mix.

I see several mentions of Randy Travis. RIP Durham native Don Schlitz. The only member of The Grand Ole Opry to ever be inducted for songwriting rather than performing.

I know Don Dixon was born in SC but he is a NC guy. He went to UNC and he was part of the band Arrogance.
I had just mentioned Schlitz a couple of posts above yours.
