Since we're targeting two SGs does that mean Kael is our PG for next year?

I read on another free board that Drew Sharnarski, 6'-9" forward from Belmont is visiting this weekend.

I hope they are not thinking of getting another undersized 5. I don't think that works in the B1G.
P
I would take a 6'9" very athletic skywalker who can rebound and score if that is all we can get. I would take two of them. Quick ups and big leaper can make up for a few inches

On today’s Hawk Central podcast, Chad and Tyler were talking about how, when Ben was at NW Missouri State, he didn’t even want recruits to post when they got offers. The dude likes to keep everything under the radar.
It was also said this year that McCollum knows this won’t work on a power conference team. Won’t be able to hide offers.

Yep, just listened to that and 100% Iowa football did this in the past, especially Parker re: offering kids. Hyde is a great example, they found him, knew they had an absolute steal and told him to lay low until around signing day. Between Wisky and MSU basically offering every kid we did and the big boys would've been after him in short order too.
The funniest old school recruiting story is Barry Sanders, apparently there were only a few VHS tapes of his highlights floating around the Midwest and Okie State either destroyed them during the recruiting process or refused to give them to other schools after hosting Barry on a visit...:)

I'm sure Ben and company have evaluations what these kids are worth. I'm sure there is a cap, so will they lose some prospects, sure. Ben will put together the best team he can.
Ben and Co could know the exact amount these kids are "worth" but that does not really matter. Like pro sports, what a player is worth and what the market is willing to bear are two completely different things. They are probably going to have to come to terms with overpaying to get your targets. Luckily there are a lot of players currently on this roster that shouldn't command much money.

What the market is willing to pay is the value.

Now these kids have agents and they are trying to push up the price and having success. It’s getting more disgusting by the day. It’s all a negotiation now so the people I know close to the program really don’t know what these kids are going to do.
Inflationary cycle.

I think what smorgasbord is trying to say is that these kids aren't worth the money the "market" (i.e. for example dirty, filthy c***sucking agents) says they're worth.

None of them are. That's the point of this NIL nonsense. 🙂

McKeever visited on Sunday and Monday and, AFAIK, hasn't visited anywhere else. I don't know what the delay is about (likely $$), but I'm hopeful that they can come to terms.
I had heard on a podcast he has visited Cincinnati and was visiting UConn. Not sure if he is still going to UConn as they just signed a big.

Cincinnati also signed a big out of the portal:
  • Riley Allenspach (George Mason): A 6-foot-11 center who averaged 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds.
I would not be surprised if a deep pockets program swoops in and offers an absurd amount of money that McKeever can't ignore. Time to close the deal!

Michigan is the other team I've heard has interest in McKeever. I found this from a Michigan article -apparently they have too many good players and are a bit unsure what to do with the portal while they wait to see if existing players like Mara go to the NBA -they don't know how many spots they will need to fill.

Yeah well Michigan can go f*** themselves.

Also, who's the best PG returning to CBB next year?

Force him to play for Iowa, and play well, for free. Problem solved.
