I thought the same thing about the spear on the helmets; I believe that they wore that type of helmet for many of the Sonny Jurgensen years. I think that it’s funny how they’re bending over backwards to admit that the name change was a failure without admitting it.

The alternate uniform is to get Trump’s sign off on the use of the old RFK site for the new stadium. Goddell has no principles, all about the money. Remember that whenever the NFL tries to take a social stand.
I guess the spear on the helmet is supposed to be a tribute to the Redskins? Trying to satisfy those who are disgruntled fans?
I think the spear is there to remind the dumber players which way they should run.

What's funny is that the new owner is doing everything to bring back the old Redskins except for changing the name back to Redskins; he's changing the uniforms to what they were during the Joe Gibbs era, moving the team to the old RFK Stadium location, etc. You know that he probably wants to change the name back to Redskins, but that's probably a bridge too far for the NFL.
Josh Harris is the owner. You might have a good take here. No, they’ll never go back to the old name but that’s not something I lose sleep over. The big benefit of the RFK location is that transit is already there, easy peasy in and out. Landover was a pain in the *** to get to. Also DC has gentrified a lot on the H Street corridor; Union Market, a lot of money there and it’s fifteen minutes away from RFK. And Dan Snyder is gone.
Just get rid of the W taco holder logo and go with the spear. Maybe add a feather. Then change the name to the Washington Warpath.
Original Chargers logo did something like that, as I recall. cHargers. The H was for Hilton.
I was only ever at the Landover facility once and that was for a PSU/MD game and it was a mess. Parking was ridiculous and frankly the stadium wasn't all that.
