I’m not completely sold on TS as starting at 3. She’s 5-9 so it’s more of a 3g offense. But having a dynamic 2g may take more burden off her.

The bigger issue is who starts at 4.
McKenna Woliczko, say it with me, McKenna Woliczko! She will be our 4. She can score from all three levels which will support our 4 out offense, has a great midrange jump shot, can rebound and has a very high basketball IQ. You always find something to whine about.

An interesting stat regarding Carnegie vs. Deal, Feuerbach, Levin and Mallegni combined. She averages 17.8 points per game vs. their combined 13.2. She averaged 5.8 rebounds vs. 5.2 rebounds for them combined. Dani is a heck of a get for the Hawks. Tip of the hat to coach Barrett.

And she tells the truth.

This is like the 3 post of Barretts talking about lies . . . whether money, about programs, agents. Its an absolute mess out there right now. I'm wondering if Iowa is not quite getting the reception they want on some other recruits. I can legitimately say that Carnegie solves the biggest issue, of a star scorer. I would still like 1 more guards or SF that is an elite 3 point shooter, 1 that can be a shutdown defensive player and then a F/C. At this point we don't need another huge name.

Though, she did average 33 minutes last season.

Agree, in this age, she must be allowed to play or she will just transfer like Deal and the rest of the top freshmen. At least let her start thru non-con to get her feet under her. Show her our commitment to her game and let her fly!

IMO the best players should play. Period. Freshmen, sophomores or whatever. Deal got plenty of minutes, but she wasn't good enough so she didn't start after those 3 games and she didn't merit any assurance going forward when there were better players available. I have no problems with how that was handled.

Great news! Solid scorer - needed that. Woliczko is a triple threat. I’m ready for the season to start!

Still need to add a rebounder IMO. Bonus if JJ can get a defensive stopper.

My comment was not knocking Iowa staff in any way. I have been watching multiple Iowa players portal and thus finally some good news. Does everything stated on this board have to be dissected to search for some inferred/supposed slight.
Yes. Yes it does

Well that will be Jan’s fault when she comes to Iowa. Anon and the rest will make sure of it.
She was probably worn down at the end of the season. I've heard that's a pretty big thing with these players. It happened to Stremlow ya know.

She did. Add the minutes of KF, Deal, Mallegni, and Levin together and it comes to 45mpg. Add in McCabe and that number balloons to 72 minutes and the PPG is still only 21ppg or just 3 points more than Carnegie averaged.

Add in another year of experience for CCW and Strem and offensively this backcourt is already much better than what we had this past year. They are all better scorers, ball handlers, and playmakers than KF, McCabe, and Deal were.
