I started writing this thinking it wouldn’t be that difficult. Boy was I wrong. Do I keep a 49-3 Cassar that beat Steveson over a 3x AA? I eventually got to where 3x AAs also had to be eliminated. Tell me who I missed and you’d vote for in the comments!

Damn it!!! I was still writing this when it posted itself. I was inputting Jim Martin “Jim” - a 4X AA and 2x Finalist with 155 career wins when the computers took over and posted it themselves. And I was still researching and replacing some wrestlers. Oh well. It is what it is now.

I think Hall. The other guy who held him back was a total stud who very likely wouldn't have wrestled that COVID season because he got caught being a bit of a hippy that year, correct?

I can edit it. Post a reply indicating EXACTLY how you want that line/entry to read

Hall had the misfortune of meeting Valencia twice in the finals. Hall wins on Friday night. Valencia wasn't the most disciplined wrestler when it came to weight management but he was great wrestler so catching him on an extra full feed on Saturday night was always going to be an issue.

Kemerer is the only one who might have stopped Hall from being a 2 timer. They were 1-1 in 2020

All the options on this poll are the "right answers".

I picked Matt Brown because he served a 2 years mission for his church and then came home to wrestle. Any one that serves their country or church for two years and THEN comes back to compete in college is a champion on my book.

The complete list of all wrestlers to ever make a Gable Iowa wrestler quit: Jim Martin.

He did it twice. Won by stall DQ in the dual at Rec Hall. And he broke his opponent in the NCAA Finals (!).

He didnt appear to meet criteria for NF points IMO. Is that something a coach would be able to challenge in present times?
