I think everyone can be fairly punchy and judgemental after 3 abysmal season in a rowEveryone is all of a sudden a college basketball GM. Did you stay at a Holiday Inn last night?

And he has shown us that he can do such a great job in the portal. Lol27 players have signed so far. lol
THEY HAD NO MONEY! Why is it so hard to understand. And he has shown us that he can do such a great job in the portal. Lol
We apparently have some money now and this is the first guy Pike Grabs in the portalTHEY HAD NO MONEY! Why is it so hard to understand.
Come on manEveryone is all of a sudden a college basketball GM. Did you stay at a Holiday Inn last night?
He's 6'5 unlike our 3 lil guysAlso why are we signing another guard … unless they either know somebody is leaving OR this is simply end of bench depth for cheap
Seems he was playing in the Dominican and not actually at New Mexico?
From November
It’s not. It’s the YMCA Sunday morning league, or rather, the Liga Domingo Cristiana.Career 8ppg in the Dominican League.
I guess that's technically a pro league
That's not accurate. Shelby doesn't know international hoops. It’s not. It’s the YMCA Sunday morning league, or rather, the Liga Domingo Cristiana.
We don’t have a lot of individuals here with real basketball knowledge but everyone thinks they are an expert. Less than 30 players have signed so far and we have people complaining already. It’s pathetic.Come on man
Shelby does know. S.W.A.I.N. doesn’t know sarcasm. That's not accurate. Shelby doesn't know international hoops.
Unlikely he came for peanuts. It was likely ‘an offer he couldn’t refuse’ to sign so early. No stats to be found… praying this is a depth signing end of bench for next to $0
He was with Overtime elite in the g-league for a bit but signed with NMSU in 2023 with no playing stats at all? That’s really odd and concerning
Every bench player (even the last guy) is getting $100-200k. And those guys never play.Unlikely he came for peanuts. It was likely ‘an offer he couldn’t refuse’ to sign so early.
Found this 3yrs according to this.

We may have to work this Lenny pipeline, shoot like KAT, rim protect like Mutumbo, post moves like Hakeem, rebound like Moses MaloneAnyone call or text Lenny? Lol maybe he also has a 7 foot center that can shoot like Karl Anthony Towns
Pikell is out of his league in this new era of NIL and roster management. He needs to go back to a Stony Brook to be successful where he can build a roster and work with guys that will stay around. Definitely not the right guy to move us forward. Does not take a rocket scientist to see it.
Denis and Zrno looked good in their highlights tooDifficult to judge based on the league talent levels and that this is just a highlight reel, but he seems pretty athletic with offensive skills which gives me some hope.
Not sure who’s complaining but if you watched the pod this morning Richie rattled off that the high level names we were targeting have mostly indicated they were not interested or are close to committing elsewhereWe don’t have a lot of individuals here with real basketball knowledge but everyone thinks they are an expert. End of the day, it was Pike's job to find $ for his program, whether the AD was helping or not.THEY HAD NO MONEY! Why is it so hard to understand.
He never attended or played at NM STHe had a good 2024 and maybe injured 2025?, thinking he has one year left, he's 23 and graduated from NM ST.

No. That’s the ADs job. The coaches job is to coach and build a roster.End of the day, it was Pike's job to find $ for his program, whether the AD was helping or not.
Graduated? I don't think he was even eligible, did he stay in school? He had a good 2024 and maybe injured 2025?, thinking he has one year left, he's 23 and graduated from NM ST.

No, that stopped like 5 or 6 years ago. I know D1 coaches that were spending more time on fundraising than coaching. Use the excuse it was the AD's job and this is where you end up, the hot seat.No. That’s the ADs job. The coaches job is to coach and build a roster.
Shelby never saw Lenny play but Squiggy could have played D1.Anyone call or text Lenny? Lol maybe he also has a 7 foot center that can shoot like Karl Anthony Towns
Successful programs had the ADs office doing it. Unsuccessful ones had no help. Coaches helped ADs to recruit donors and the ADs office took care of everything. No, that stopped like 5 or 6 years ago. I'm sure they'll be lots of dunk opportunities in RU's clogged toilet offense. It’s very hard to get info on him. My guess is he came in for a workout for the staff and they really liked him. He is a high flyer for sure the kid’s head is above the rim when he dunks.
He averaged 8 points a game in the Dominican professional league whatever level of competition that is considered… I would imagine lower than Europe and chinaFirst off misleading title on the post- how are you a transfer from NMS IF you are not currently attending the school.
NJ.COM did a nice job describing this kid - apparently he was a former recruit in prior years.
Typical of the posters on this board needing to be talked off the ledge - as "this is a typical RU worst case scenario".
The same reaction as last year with Tarique.
You can tell yourself that, but its not necessarily true. Plenty of successes had no support initially. I even know of one coach who was so successful raising for his program, the schools fundraising arm started bringing him in for dinners w donors for non academic reasons.Successful programs had the ADs office doing it. Unsuccessful ones had no help. Coaches helped ADs to recruit donors and the ADs office took care of everything.
