Knox got 1.2 million over 4 years so 300K a year which was by far the biggest nil given out by Rutgers by a large margin and it only happened bc the new AD stepped in and made it happen.
But does it cover parking??

And what about Facundo? Or will he be out of eligibility already? That’s about right, but (maybe someone can chime in with more info) I think Lockett is 174 bound. If so, where’s he go? I guess a Lockett Ryder wrestle off.
That should be a year beyond his eligibility. And what about Facundo? Or will he be out of eligibility already?
I have to think White gets in the lineup by year 2, but we shall see. That should be a year beyond his eligibility.
My very very very rough estimate of the back half of the cowboys lineup in two years:
Lockett
Ryder
Merrill
Ross
Michael White, with ANY offense, has to be thought to be at least decent odds to be 184 or 197.
Just like lower weights, there’s an odd man out.
Assuming Lockett goes 174, Facundo's better path in 2027 would be challenging Routledge for 165.And what about Facundo? Or will he be out of eligibility already?
Dude, you know that is his limo driver's problem, not his!But does it cover parking??
That was a Super Troopers movie reference.Noted!!!

I see now that you’re talking about the 27/28 season, I read too quickly and thought you were talking about this very next year.Assuming Lockett goes 174, Facundo's better path in 2027 would be challenging Routledge for 165.
2027 is his last year, unless he can get a medical shirt for 2025 when he lost out to Kasak for 157 -- he only competed at the Black Knight Invitational in November, so maybe there's a chance for that.

Still, time flies… I would have thought off the top of my head he had two more seasons.
So thinking it through, I presume he RS’d a year before the one he started for us, then sat his third year with us… then started this past season and presumably this coming season for them.
And I forgot about the ORS year… It seems like he was just a freshman…2022 - shirted as true FR

I still remember when we landed him, and was pretty fired up. His HS petigree pointed to yet another multi timer. Now looking back over his nearly full career, I can't recall someone of that caliber with a less impressive career. An enigma, well you can't blame it on coaching. I watched Facundo enough to understand that he was really good but I didn't think he would be a top guy. I was right about that, but I felt the same way about Barr and couldn't have been more wrong. It seemed to me like they both shot from space and ended up extended underneath way too much. Barr became an unbelievable finisher while Facundo remained fairly unchanged. My lukewarm to hot take is that Ryder won’t wrestle another national tournament for Oklahoma State.I have to think White gets in the lineup by year 2, but we shall see.

If Ryder is out the whole year with shoulder surgery, I bet we see White year 1... (gonna be a tough weight)I have to think White gets in the lineup by year 2, but we shall see.
Comedy Central!I heard both Harer's were getting a couple million each at Rutgers. I can't see them leaving.
Shoulder surgery is complex and results are most often mixed. Ryder’s a great kid, but, IMO …. he might be done.No doubt.
Point is, the “Taylor doesn’t recruit over his guys” bubble was popped a long time ago since White will overlap at least 2 years with Ryder. Didn’t need Berge coming in at all.
In fact, I think there’s a good a chance he sees Berge as a bridge to White, not Ryder.
He should be able to get a medical RS for 2025 if he wants it. He never wrestled after the live wrestle off with Kasak at Black Knight, and I recall Cael saying he was injured at one point during the season, so I think it's likely he could get one more year. I doubt there will be a spot in DT's lineup for him at that point so he would have to transfer somewhere for what would be his 7th year in college, so I think there's a good chance he just moves on, unless he's really interested in a grad degree at Michigan or something like that.2022 - shirted as true FR

Teasdale for one is someone with a higher pedigree who accomplished less. I'm sure there are some other examples as well. He certainly hasn't lived up to the expectations from recruiting, but it's not like he's been terrible.I still remember when we landed him, and was pretty fired up. I'm just a middle-aged weekend warrior grappler and shoulder injuries have ended my competitive career. Can't imagine wrestling at the highest levels after having any significant work done on a shoulder, even in my early 20's.Shoulder surgery is complex and results are most often mixed. Ryder’s a great kid, but, IMO …. he might be done.
I also think Barr has a mean streak we consistently see. He's brutal. Alex did not show the capability to do that.I watched Facundo enough to understand that he was really good but I didn't think he would be a top guy. I was right about that, but I felt the same way about Barr and couldn't have been more wrong. It seemed to me like they both shot from space and ended up extended underneath way too much. The NCAA put lower level on sale for 50% off a couple weeks before since they couldn’t sell out.Wait until Nationals is in football stadiums, which isn't a long wait.
The list of wrestlers unable to come back from shoulder injuries is quite longI'm just a middle-aged weekend warrior grappler and shoulder injuries have ended my competitive career. Beating Pat Glory when they were in high school he sure looked like a sure thingHe should be able to get a medical RS for 2025 if he wants it. Very long. The list of wrestlers unable to come back from shoulder injuries is quite long
Wants to come in and wrestle 174 with the Kasak cow diet.
He'll be fine if he takes the appropriate amount of time off. That's usually the biggest issue.Shoulder surgery is complex and results are most often mixed. Ryder’s a great kid, but, IMO …. he might be done.
she don't care.Shapiro in portal. Kaillie (sp) Grey in shambles
When's Feldman portaling?she don't care.
Gonna laugh if he ends up at Iowa as a 1-yr stopgap while Amato shirts, for a lot of reasons. Steroids, Family Not Factory, etc.Shapiro in portal. Kaillie (sp) Grey in shambles
Come and get a "factory job" in state college pa.I think Shapiro mentioned before he could be a 149 if he wanted to be .... and he has a RS available
I'm dreaming obviously (especially since it's clear he does not like Penn State) but imagine this, we just need a one year bridge to Shepherd and God knows Meyer probably could use a year off to fully heal from things
2027 149 - SVN (Meyer RS)
2028 149 - Meyer (Shepherd RS)
2029 149 - Shepherd
A Shapiro-Anthony Ferrari wrestle off is happening in Iowa City, isn’t it?Gonna laugh if he ends up at Iowa as a 1-yr stopgap while Amato shirts, for a lot of reasons. Steroids, Family Not Factory, etc.
He might even reach Palacio levels of Cael Derangement Syndrome.
True about the poor shots, but coming out of high school Facundo was much closer to a finished product whereas Barr was still pretty raw. Add in Barr's pace/motor, gas tank, and willingness to mat wrestle (180 degree opposite of Facundo), which allowed Barr to jump levels in college while Facundo stayed pretty much stagnant (though still talented and very tough to score on). In other words, Barr is a Dawg whereas Facundo is not.I watched Facundo enough to understand that he was really good but I didn't think he would be a top guy. I was right about that, but I felt the same way about Barr and couldn't have been more wrong. It seemed to me like they both shot from space and ended up extended underneath way too much. This seems very odd to me unless he already has his degree. Why forego a degree for Cornell and leave your senior year?
